Hi,
I was hoping someone would maybe have had similar situation and could help me. Me and my husband have been TTC for a few months but we've had no luck. I know that's completely normal but I'm a little worried because a few years ago I had a scan as I always get period-like cramps whenever I do intense exercise to see if there was a problem. The GP said there were signs of cysts on my ovaries but as I have a healthy BMI and am 'not very hairy' he wasn't worried. I didn't really understand what PCOS was but now I'm worried i might have it and it might be affecting my fertility. I do have some extra hair on my chin and my stomach and put on weight much more easily than my sisters. Does anyone have any advanced as to what i should do? I'm feeling very anxious Confused

Hey! I would definitely book in an appointment with your GP and let them know about the previous scan. They can easily book you in for blood tests to test your hormone levels. If you're worried about PCOS, it's good to know either way and I think good for your overall health beyond TTC anyway. :)

You can have PCOS and have a healthy BMI/not be very hairy - I do although my cycles were super irregular so I knew something was off. Do you have regular cycles? How long are they at the moment?

Hi @ttcinjo I can't help much as I don't believe I have pcos nor many of the symptoms but I agree with the above - if you are worried definitely pressure your gp. Just wanted to add that I've done a lot of research for ttc and I've started taking inositol which is meant to help with pcos. I think the myo one is best but definitely something to look into. Like I said, I don't think I have but thought that if I do then it might help and otherwise it helps with sugar etc so harmless to take anyway. Just like everything else I thought I would give it a try. I must admit that taking it has forced me to drink more and I feel like I have more energy and generally more chilled. Oh its meant to be good for depression and anxiety also so that's always handy with the stresses of ttc haha
