This cycle is 23 days which my app says is 4 days shorter than normal. Does anyone know why this might be and how it could affect conception? I'm new to all this.

Hi!

Are your cycles 23 days every month? If not then it might just be an off cycle - my cycles used to be 31-33 days but for the past five months they've been consistently 27, so keeping track is helpful!

Also, if your cycles are 23 days long it isn't necessarily a problem if you also ovulate earlier. The time between ovulation and your period (your luteal phase) should ideally be at least 10 days (although women have conceived on less!) You should maybe consider using ovulation tests? If you find your cycles are 23 days long but you ovulate on or before day 13 then it's not a problem at all!

Hope this helps a bit! x

Thank you that does help! This one is shorter than usual so I will keep tracking and will try ovulation tests this cycle too.
