Opk test!

Hi! My opk came back as quite dark this morning but I’m no where near ovulation time and my body isn’t showing any symptoms of ovulation. Is it normal to have small lh surges prior to ovulation?

You may have a typical time but it varies month to month so this could well be your ovulation. What day are you and how long are your typical cycles?

I don’t have regular cycles at all. They vary from 33 days to 53 and I’m cd 12 at the moment. Which is soooo much earlier than I have ever ovulated in the past.

I don’t know if it’s normal but I also have long and irregular cycles and I also experience the same thing. On CD 20 I had a high reading but no other symptoms so I kept testing . 10 days later I got 3 days of peak readings / cramps and searing headaches so I think I have now ovulated . I will know in the next few days if my temp goes up I guess :) keep testing I think :)

I tried these sticks this month and they always give me a line. I started on CD4 (while still on my period because why not🙄) and there was a line but it's not got any darker. So I went back to my usual sticks and my usual sticks started as completely white/negative. So I used both throughout the month just to see and these sticks never got much darker whereas my usual sticks showed a clear surge which was in line with my temping. I'm not sure why this is. I trust my usual sticks more as they have shown my ovulation in the past. I only used them for 3 different months (one ending in DC, one MC and one CP).

Do you have the app that PP shared a screenshot of? That can be useful to put a number to the line.
