SMEP with early ovulation/short cycles

Just about to start cycle 3 TTC and interested in giving SMEP a go. My cycles are 27 days with ovulation around CD11. Has anyone tried SMEP with early ovulation and if so what day to start? I assume it is designed on the basis of ovulation on CD14 so should I just shift the plan forwards so instead of starting CD8 I should start CD5? Thanks x

I am planning to SMEP this cycle.
I have 27/28 day cycles and according to OPK's I ovulate around CD12.
We are DTD from CD8 every other day till I get a peak ovulation then planning the 3days in a row from then.
I'm CD9 today so not long till O I don't think.
I would suggest DTD every other day from as early as you can I guess.

Hi, im planning on doing SMEP this cycle too. My cycles are around 27 days but it can vary. Ill start DTD from CD8. Im currently CD5. I normally O around CD15/16.

Thanks ladies. Think I’ll start CD6 - I’m trying CB OPKs this month - had cheapy boots ones last month and didn’t find them great.

Heya I have 26-28 day cycles, we usually dtd right after af so cd5 or cd6, then every other day untull after ov which us usually cd11-cd13! Never managed to dtd 3 days in a row though.

I have 24/25 day cycles and usually ovulate on cd10/11, so we start on cd4/5. Smep worked for us the first time we used it, but sadly ended in mc (I have recurrent losses).
We've tried it again this cycle and I'm in my tww now, I've attached my bbt chart. Having shorter cycles works quite well with SMEP, I think it would be hard to maintain momentum with longer cycles!

How’s it going ladies? I’m CD12 and on second day of static smiley so O is imminent. DTD day 6,8,10,11. 3 more to go!

@Hopefulhedgehog it didn't go quite to plan.
I'm currently 7DPO.
O occurred on CD13. We managed to DTD on CD8, 10, 12, 13, 14.
So just in the waiting game. Hope you manage to get through your 3! x

Yeah we are the same I was crossing my fingers that the static would come after a night’s rest to avoid DTD 4 nights in a row!
