I'm now on day 6 of the flashing smiley and it's driving me crazy!!! Anyone else had this?

Hello @monkeyy97 ☺️

Don't worry, I think this is fairly common. My flashing smiles went on for 9 days, and then had a static smile 👍

Another poster recommended that I tested in the morning and afternoon once it had been quite a few days of flashing smiles. On the 9th day morning I still had a flashing smile, and a few hours later it was a static. Hope that helps! X

@Frandler
Ooo okay!! Maybe I will do one this evening when I get home from work 🤞🏻 AF is due next weekend so hopefully I'm just ovulating later than usual 😊

I'm on day 8 and the flashing smiley is driving me insane! Its becoming an addiction now I know I can test more than once. I swear I ovulated last week (based on CM/pains) but it was still flashing away so I have no idea!

I'm googling constantly about them. I have seen many people get bfps with no peak and just flashing and people who finally get a static after 10+ days.

They are causing me more stress so after this cycle I dint think I will use these again.

@monkeyy97 @Jellyfishx

It's all sooo stressful isn't it.

I'm 9-10dpo in the first cycle for #1 and it's blowing my brains a bit 😩 the tracking, the waiting etc. It's a really expensive thing to get addicted too but it's so easy to get in the habit of testing and retesting! 🤦🏻‍♀️ but if I hadn't of retested in the afternoon, I would of missed a chunk of ovulation time.

The flashing smiles get rather annoying after a few days! You just keep thinking 'are you ever going to stop flashing!!' Fingers crossed for static smiles for you both soon 🤞

I had 8 flashing smileys first month of using these. Got a static smiley on the 9th day. Fell pregnant that month! Keep going xx

monkeyy97 · 03/03/2021 10:17

Thanks everyone!!! It feels like it's trying to tease me 🤣🤣🤣

I'm using the earlier version of the Clearblue OPKs, which are pink in colour. They only detect your two most fertile days. So, you only get two read-outs, either a O or a static smiley. I'm more comfortable with this rather than the flashing smileys potentially giving me the run-around!

@TTCat39
I think if it doesn't happen this time around I will get those ones!! As it's winding me up 🤣

@monkeyy97 I have finally just gotten my solid smiley 😊 i had decided that after tomorrow I was giving up! It's day 8 today so don't give up. Keep testing! 😊😊X x

monkeyy97 · 03/03/2021 16:00

@Jellyfishx ahhh yay!!! I'm going to do another test when I get home, last static smiley I got was in the evening so hopefully 🤞🏻

Oh nooooo, it's so frustrating isn't it. I never thought I would find a smiley face so annoyingly frustrating, it's literally ruining my day waking up to it!
Its my first month using them so I was starting to think it wouldn't even work but now I've been patient and the solid came eventually I'm glad I stuck with them because if I was going by dates and ov symptoms I would have missed the chance!
Fingers crossed you get the solid soon! 🤞😊X x

@monkeyy97 🤣 that's great news 🙌 and impeccable timing hehe!

Getting that static smile is a big relief isn't it 😜
