Flashing smileys

So this is my first cycle of using the CB OPK's properly. AF finished on CD 6 and now I'm CD8 with a flashing smiley.
Last cycle I got a static on CD12 but that was with no flashing smileys beforehand as my OPK's didn't arrive till just before then.
I have a 27/28 day cycle.
Is it too early to be getting flashing smileys so soon after AF has finished?

Just jumping back on here.
CB OPK's are still flashing day3. But the cheapie OPK's are a very negative....does anyone know why this is?! I have tested multiple times with the cheapies throughout the day.

Hi @tulips87 flashing smileys indicate rising oestrogen, when you get a static smiley that's your lh surge. Cheapies only indicate lh surge so you aren't likely to get positive opk strip until you get your static smiley. Even then, cb tend to pick up lh surge before the strips so you might not get your positive strip until a day after your static smiley
