Was I pregnant

My first day of last period was 29th of jan. Been trying to conceive. Last three or so weeks I have had gripping pains in breasts, cramping in womb (last week only), nausea. Have 'felt' like we conceived. I was so so sure of it. I have been pregnant before so know how it feels, my breasts were the first symptom. So big, heavy and the most tense feeling in them . But, tested and it was negative. This morning I started bleeding and now know I am not pregnant.
Could I have conceived but it just didn't 'stick'?
Trying to make sense of what happened as I have had so many pregnancy symptoms last 3 weeks.

I think probably not - the earliest you could possibly have conceived is about cycle day 10, so for the first 2 weeks you wouldnt have been pregnant. The hormone mix running up to a period is unfortunately verrrrry similar to early pregnancy. They can cause nausea, sore boobs, tiredness etc etc. They say that if you are pregnant enough to have symptoms because of hcg, you are definitely pregnant enough to test positive. I think without a positive test you are unlikely to have been pregnant.

Ok thank you. I just don't know why I had such strong cramping, breasts etc like that and then come on so many days later. That's never happened before. Thank you.

@sleepyspider our bodies are just super confusing and mean sometimes. Wishing you all the best with TTC

ArtfulScreamer · 28/02/2021 19:10

Our bodies are often arseholes to us especially when TTC my DD took 5 years and a round of IVF and I've lost of the amount of times in that 5 years my period was late, my boobs were sore, I felt nauseous etc and I was convinced it was our month only for the test to be negative and AF to eventually show itself.

ArchbishopOfBanterbury · 28/02/2021 22:39

It sounds like your period wasn't late, so probably not. Just confusing cramps and aches and pains.

confusedoverhere1 · 01/03/2021 07:58

I've had multiple early losses and always had a positive test (often faint but there) so without a positive test I'd guess not sorry :(
Annoyingly the signs of af are so similar to pg it's cruel 🤞🏻 for your next cycle

It's so strange as I have been pregnant a few times before and I felt the pregnancy hormones, or I am sure I did.
I have never had PMT PMS symptoms for a couple of weeks before my period, that doesn't make sense to me. I am not discounting anyone's opinions and I really appreciate everyone's replies.
I have stupidly heavy periods, I lose huge clots and I am now worried that it just couldn't implant. I definitely felt weird this month, like something was trying to happen. I feel very confused but the test was definitely negative. I am worried now due to my huge periods that we won't be able to conceive or egg and sperm meet but my womb isn't suitable.
:(
Sorry for going on about this!
