BFP at 18dpo or worryingly faint?!

Hi all, hoping you can help!

I'm 18dpo today and have been TTC #1 for over a year.

Have never had a line before (well not since I was briefly pregnant when I was 23, I'm nearly 32 now).

Even though I'm 3 days late, I thought I was out this month and didn't test as just felt like AF was coming. Then last night had these weird pains that I remember having when I was pg all those years ago.

Tested today with a cheap corner shop test called 'Clear Response' and got the below!

In shock but also convinced it's a chemical as surely it would be darker by now? Has anyone else had a line like this on a cheap test at 18dpo and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy?

Thanks in advance, this is such a rollercoaster!

That's a very positive test - congratulations 🎉

Okay bit more confident now - FRER after a 2 hour hold!

In total shock after 13 months TTC - we'd started the ball rolling for IVF!

Congratulations!

Ithinkhedidit · 28/02/2021 16:18

Congrats! Those cheapie tests are never very sensitive (despite what they may claim!) so any line on those counts ime. The frer looks good!

These are good lines!

Congratulations! We’re at a similar point, great to hear success stories after a time trying.

squidlady · 28/02/2021 18:47

Thanks everyone! It hasn't sunk in a even a little bit!

@thislittlebird - I would obsessively search for post-12 months TTC success stories so know the feeling! just didn't believe it would happen for us, especially as a home sperm test we bought online indicated a really low sperm count. My DH has his official semen analysis booked for this week, I guess he'll cancel now! He started pounding supplements, cut down on drinking and bought looser pants so maybe that made a difference! Or maybe it's the whole, 'you chill out once you've put it in the hands of professionals' thing...

@squidlady if I were you, I'd be tempted to still get the tests. Just in case you need to know them in future Smile

@squidlady That's great, mine has low motility (but high count) and I have low progesterone so not fantastic odds I suppose, but still hoping stories like yours mean it'll happen for us. Once the year mark passes it just feels like the odds are not in your favour.
