March 2021 TTC Bus!

Hey everyone! Thought I would start a March 2021 TTC bus. I'm TTC for first baby, cycle #8, CD12 hopping off from Feb 2021 bus. Wishing lots of baby dust and BFPs to all! Xx

@Cuddles21 hi and welcome! I also stopped taking my pill in January too! I'm also on my second cycle now, I got a positive opk test on Tuesday, currently 5dpo now but no symptoms really so don't feel confident, I had my withdrawal bleed beginning of January then my first cycle was 32 days long! This time around I ovulated on day 17-18 so probably got a 32 day cycle now since coming off the pill, just hoping since stopping the pill that my body will regularly ovulate each month x

You seem quite similar to me then 😊 my first cycle after my withdrawal bleed was 30 days and I'm currently on CD 13 with opk positive and ewcm. My first cycle coming off the pill last month was rough. The hormones were raging and my boobs were sore for nearly the entire month 😆

@Cuddles21 yes very similar, only thing for me is I don't have much ewcm around ovulation but positive opk, hoping it doesn't take to long to get a bfp x

Can I have a question...
I think that I ovulated on CD17 but my opk was still high on CD18 would you say CD18 is 1 dpo???
My chart indicates the temp rise and ovulation happened...

Can anyone confirm this for me..

Currently CD 18 on cycle 16 trying for baby #1.

First month doing OPK's and I haven't had a peak yet. Usually my cycles are around 28-31 days.

Does anyone else ovulate later in their cycle?

@Tara1711 I ovulated on CD17 in the afternoon and my cycle is around 30 to 31 days...
How many times a day are you testing???

@bubblegeek22 I have had some more pain, weirdly on both sides now, but no more bleeding. I'm trying my best to keep busy but it's impossible not to think about it.

One thing I've learnt from all the frantic googling is that the gestational sac and the yolk sac are different things. I did not pay attention in biology and thought they were the same thing 🙈 I re-read my notes from EPU and it says both a gestational sac and a yolk sac were seen but no embryo. I think that's positive that there was a yolk sac, but who knows really.

@Tara1711 this is my opk for this month, I got my positive at 6.04pm on day 17 but it was a little fainter like yours before so maybe keep testing today as yours look like there getting closer, as I only get 1 day of positives and then the next there negative again x

@Mum2Girls19 I count the next day after my first positive as 1dpo but that's because the next day I seem to get a negative tests so I have a quick surge I think x

@Mum2Girls19 I'm testing in the morning and afternoon. I drink loads of water though so I think it's really diluted when I test in the afternoon! I'm trying to stop drinking for a couple of hours in the afternoon in hope that makes it better

@amyannx I think I'll test a few times today and hope that I get a peak! How long are you cycles usually?

@Confused678866 hey, I came of the pill in January and used opk test for the first time this month, I found that one day I had a negative and the next day there was a darker line and by the evening it was a blazing positive, it could be that where your cycles are different each month that your just ovulating at different time each month, I used the test a day after my period so I could see when I would ovulate and it took me until day 17 for a positive, try holding your bladder for at least 2 hours and don't drink if you can in that time frame, I found when I would have a drink it dilutes the line x

@Confused678866 here is my one step ovulation tests for this month, my positive is day 17 at 6.04pm to give you a idea of how mine worked

I came off my pill in September just so that my body could adjust as I knew we want to start trying in January but as it hasn’t happened in my last 2 cycles, I thought I’d give OPK’s a go.
I’ve been testing at around midday each day but only doing it once so I think I’ll start testing twice as I’m aware the surge can happen quickly and I can miss it. I’d say I haven’t been that vigilant in holding it for long enough and not drinking too much beforehand either so I appreciate your advice. I’m just off to buy some different ones too just in case these aren’t great (even the control line isn’t that dark in them, it’s a little patchy so it’s making me question the tests completely).
I also started testing the day after my period so I know it could take a while to see a positive it I think I’ve got it in my head that I ovulate earlier than apps predict but I know that’s not necessarily the case. Thank you and good luck with TTC 🙂 xx

@Confused678866 that's ok, I attached some pictures on my last post to show you how mine looked, and yes test more often when the lines gets darker as if you look at mine I only got 1 positive and the next day there were negative again x

@amyannx Thank you, those pictures are really helpful. I can see from your first test CD5, they your tests are still showing a very faint line - mine are showing nothing at all apart from the control line. This is my test from today xx

@Confused678866 it could just be that where you haven't held your bladder for long the line is diluted, I would try again later don't drink much and hold your bladder and see, if not maybe buy more to see if they faulty, it could just be to early for you, sorry I can't be much help mine have started to show near to nothing now but that's because I ovulated already, good luck ttc xx

@amyannx Thank you! I’ll try to be a little more vigilant with how I’m doing it.
I’ve just caved and spent £38 on Clear Blue digital ones... I don’t plan on this becoming an expensive habit though so I’m going to continue with the the cheap ones I have currently xx

@Confused678866 yeah I decided that if I don't get a bfp after my March cycle I will try clear blue to make sure I'm doing these ones right, but sometimes I know when you come off the pill it can take a while to get back to normal again, just hoping that the positive I got this month has led to ovulation, I'm 6dpo and don't feel confident have no symptoms as of yet x

@Mum2Girls19 I feel like I maybe see a very very faint line, although I do have line eyes lol, have you got any symptoms? I'm 6dpo and currently have no symptoms :(

@amyannx To be honest, I went out looking for some cheap ones but then I just thought I’d try this.. third month of TTC and I do say to myself I’d use these around now so fingers crossed I get some clarity.

Ahh well I have my fingers crossed for you. 6DPO is early so I wouldn’t worry if you don’t have any symptoms yet.
With my first baby, yes we were trying, but I wasn’t being vigilant to symptoms etc at all.
I bled and thought it was my period so just thought ‘oh well, onto another month’.. I even went out with friends for a drink and they thought I was going to announce pregnancy and I was like ‘Nooo, my period arrived so not this month’ as I was sipping a G&T.
2 weeks later, I felt rubbish, kept feeling sick and my boobs hurt like crazy. Told my partner I was off to buy a test and he thought I was crazy because it was ‘too soon’... There it was, a big fat positive! Turns out it wasn’t a period, it was implantation bleeding so I was actually about 6 weeks pregnant when I found out!! So symptoms didn’t start until around 4 weeks ish for me.

@Confused678866 oh wow! I never got implantation bleed with my son or anything but just had that feeling I was, hopefully it won't take us long, good luck too! Hope you get your bfp soon x

@Mum2Girls19 This is an OPK test - I don’t see a line at all next to the control line! But I’m due to ovulate apparently in 2 days time so I would be expecting to see some sort of line by now!

Ahh I hope you get a BFP soon!!
