March 2021 TTC Bus!

Hey everyone! Thought I would start a March 2021 TTC bus. I'm TTC for first baby, cycle #8, CD12 hopping off from Feb 2021 bus. Wishing lots of baby dust and BFPs to all! Xx

Yeah I'm covered, just worried as thought it may be approve for a few days but the next day there was a line just fainter. So if I had the positive on Tuesday does that make me 5dpo today? I hate the dreaded wait, I always gets early so that if it's a bfn I'm not upset when I see af, I have to use opk test from when af finishes as I've only stopped the pill last month and don't want to miss my surge as need to get a cycle pattern first x

Hi @gracie2307 do you ever look at the lines on the digital opks? I had 2 days of flashing smilies then the next day was static on Thursday. But although the lines looked similar I wouldn't have said the test line was darker than the control so im a bit worried it wasn't a real peak?

We dtd tues-friday so hoping we had it covered.

@amyannxi heard that seven seas and pregnacare messes up your period and ovulation. Mixed reviews I guess. Yea gonna try this month. Was adviced to at least have one period. Hwooefully I ovulated as app say on 7th. Just gonna test each day lol. I'm gonna start using easy@home and cb. Not sure how you note your one I'm afraid

@melissa112 I have been tracking my temp but a day before I got my positive opk my temp dropped and now it's rising but I know sometimes it's not accurate, this is my chart the other blue is temp and the purple is the Lh surge

Oh and I'm taking a higher dose folic acid as prescribed by the GP as my BMI is ever so slightly above 30 (30.9). I try and tell myself that each month we don't conceive is another month to lose weight and try for a healthy BMI.

@Lizbb yeah there is mixed reviews but after months of trying with my son I used the seven seas and got my bfp that month so using them again to see, everyone is different but I track my ovulation and I ovulated this month so just for the horrible wait x

@amyannx sorry I have no idea why I thought you said temp in your first message! My brain is all over the place this month. Your app looks really useful, do you temp first thing? My little one wakes up through the night on and off so even though id like to try it, I'm not sure how accurate it would be for me

Could the second dip just after your LH surge be ovulation?

@melissa112 that's ok, that's what I'm thinking I don't know why I got a huge dip just before but I'm assuming maybe the dip after like you said was my ovulation x

@melissa112 and yeah I do my temp first thing, I use the app premom as it's reads my opk test too then I use Ovia to log symptoms

@gracie2307 I think my ovulation day is today. On my calendar app thing it’s the dark purple day which means ovulation. I’m not really sure how to use these apps yet lol. Who knew ttc could be so hard!
Do any of you ladies have any good apps for me to download to try and track my ovulation and can you recommend any vitamins to take. I’ve been taking folic acid everyday this month. Xx

@amyannx that's true. Might try it if I dont get bfp after a few trials. X

@Zozo88xx I use premom if you take ovulation tests they read them on there for you and tell you when there positive, it predicted my ovulation 1 day early but fairly accurate it also builds a chart of your temperatures too, and then I use Ovia just for symptoms to log down as that does seem to be as accurate for me, I'm just using the seven seas trying for a baby vitamins atm x

@Lizbb so difficult as I'm always put of by reading bad reviews, who knew ttc would be this tough and stressful, hopefully we all get out bfp soon x

Welcome @melissa112! 😀 I do sometimes look at the lines however I agree with you the test lines isn't always as obvious but to confirm I do use a cheap OPK when I get my peak smiley and I can confirm it seems to be quite accurate (this is a photo from my last cycle) so I actually used the cheap test to monitor the rise and fall of LH and it the next day then went to low so I think my window is quite short. I hope that helps? I think in terms of your timing you have it covered well so fingers crossed! I recommend the fertility friend app it is a very good app for charting it looks quite old fashioned but the predictions have been spot on. Xx

@amyannx I have actually started using ovulation tests this month for the first time since ttc #2 so that sounds like a good app to download. I have heard of ovia, I think my cousin used that app when she was trying. I didn’t know seven seas made a trying for a baby vitamin. I’ll definitely be buying some of those. Thank you for the advice. Really appreciate it Xx

@Lizbb I have also tried seven seas and wellwoman vitamins my cycle wasn't affected. The only things that did affect it was I tried Vitex (also known as Chasteberry) and I do not recommend I dont think I ovulated at all and it made my acne flare up. My friend is using conceive plus tablets and has good things to say about it. I hope that helps? Xx

@gracie2307 I've had a couple of things but I'm not sure if they've been symptoms or just me being too much of a symptom spotter 😂 I had pelvic aches for about 5 days after ovulation which I've never experienced before, heartburn since ovulation day and a metallic taste for the past 2 days (I think these 2 are linked - I've probably just eaten too much!) I had aches again a couple of days ago which I thought might have been the start of AF but they were more vaginal (gross I know, not even sure if this is a thing?) but they stopped after a couple of hours. I only came off the pill in January after 13years so it's difficult to know what's normal for me. Last cycle though I had one sided cramps about 3 days before AF arrived and so far nothing like that! I've got a feeling it'll just appear with no warning just to trick me!

@Zozo88xx Also second @amyannx and recommend the seven seas tablets. I would also where possible get hubbies to take wellman conception to help sperm quality it has zinc which is great for sperm count etc xx

@Zozo88xx that's ok no worries, I started using the ovulation tests for the same time this month too! Got my positive on cycle day 17, recently come off the pill so hoping it doesn't take to long x

@Bee44 Those symptoms especially the metallic taste etc sound very positive! When is your AF due? If its cramps that appear then stop it could be a sign of implantation. Xx

@Bee44 I came of my pill January too! Had my first cycle that's lasted 32 days now I'm 5dpo and the tww is horrible although I will test early, I Ovulated around day 17 so maybe my cycle has become 32 days since stopping the people although still early to say for sure

@Lizbb You are welcome! 😀 It is the trying to conceive tablets I normally buy off amazon they are tiny little purple tablets and come in a handy day of the week pack like the pill so you can see exactly when you need to take them. And they are super cheap! Like £3 or something xx
