DTD and OPKs

Hi ladies

Advice please, first cycle and I am going mad.

So I finally found a peak on Thursday eve (CD 16) my cheapies and then the next morning I got a static smiley (CD17).

We DTD CD 10, 11,12, 14, 15, 16. We tried CD 17 when I got the static smiley but as you can imagine we're bloody knackered. Do you think we're in with a good chance? I read so many different things about how long sperm live. Some say 5 days but by the 5th day the sperm ain't great.

Definitely in with a good chance. The month we conceived our first we just dtd every other day over fertile window (I didnt use opks that month). It was just 4 times total but that did it for us. Only takes one little swimmer 😂 good luck 🤞🍀

I can completely relate. I'm on my first cycle and worried that I'm going to go mad with all the info and research.

I'm about 4DPO, DTD 4 days in a row prior to peak and lost momentum on peak day 🤦🏻‍♀️

Fingers crossed we'll both be lucky!

@Janxyb Ah I hope so!! We started DTD way too early and by the time it's got to my peak were too tired.

@Frandler it's so hard isn't it!! When will you plan on testing? I was going to test two weeks today, day before Mother's Day

@sunflowersaremyfav93 I was planning on testing around the same time 🤞 fingers crossed I'll make it till then 🤣 I'm so impatient, they really need to invent a earlier test hahah.

Hope the next couple of weeks won't drive us too crazy x

Hey, looking to join 😊 Month 3 of TTC and just a little confused, I used dip test OPKs and yesterday and today I've had strong lines, but does that mean I'm ov just now or is that the surge before I ov tomorrow?? Any advice welcome 😊

Ah brilliant we can we TWW friends haha!! I'm already like ok I'm 1dpo another 13 to go..have you heard that pomegranate juice and pineapple supports implantation? I plan on have a glass of Pom juice a day and some pineapple as well. @Frandler

@Aims1991 Hello!! Course you can, a pre-warning I'm already driving myself mad 1dpo haha! Apparently once you get your peak on the OPK then you'll ovulate 24-48hrs after that? I use the PreMom app and find it really helpful. You basically take a photo of the test (I use the cheap ones off Amazon) and it gives you a number... here's one from this month..

@sunflowersaremyfav93 Maybe give that a try. I had same strong lines Friday and Saturday and today isn't as strong so am I still to OV sin the next 24/48 or is just now my time! This is all driving me insane🤣

@Aims1991 Yes I'd say you'd be ovulating today/tomorrow the lines get darker when the LH hormone is detected and it means ovulation is coming within 24-48 hrs (from what I understand) but sorry can live inside the woman up to 5 days as well so that's also helpful (and this is what I'm hoping with give me the BFP).

@sunflowersaremyfav93 Thanks, well we've been DTD Friday Saturday and will today and tomorrow so hopefully covered. My OH gets annoyed when AF arrives but also hates me going on about this all the time 🤣
