8 DPO - why did I test?! :(

Hi ladies,

So I'm 8dpo today and couldn't wait any longer I POAS this morning and lo and behold it was a BFN! I used a ClearBlue early detect from the triple pack.

I'm honestly going crazy symptom spotting even though I KNOW I shouldn't and I KNOW that all the symptoms I have a common PMS symptoms!

I am chronically irritated
My boobs are SO SORE and feel huge, they've been sore constantly since ovulation and haven't let up (though I don't know if that's normal for me haha)
I've analysed every little twinge & every little cramp
And I am EXHAUSTED (but there are many reasons that could be)

Please someone jump on my crazy train!

I'm only 7dpo (I think?!) and have really been struggling with the want to test! Might just get a load of cheapies so I can go through the motions 😂

I’m going to order a load of cheap ones off Amazon, I don’t know why I know full well they’ll be negative but I don’t know why I can’t help it 😂 I’m sure it’s an addiction!

Yes tried opks this month, first time I've ever used them and meh, didn't know what I was doing but never got more than a faint line, now back to blank! Do you use them?

Yeah I used them this month but I’ve used the CB digital ones, I can’t work the normal ones out at all! They always look the same 😂 I had 8 days of the flashing smiley face on the CB digital (absolutely recommend them!) before the static finally came, but only dtd the night before the static smiley, reckon I ovulated on the 19th dtd 17th and a few days before that so fingers crossed but who knows.

Me too. 7dpo tested today for some silly reason, obviously negative! I'm just desperate to know. it's so hard isn't it.

I might look into cb opks if AF arrives this month!

The symptom spotting is the worst! My last cycle was strangely really short and I've been having cramps this evening, I'm hoping and praying it doesn't mean that I'm going to have another short cycle again :( dunno why they've changed but will keep tracking. I'm hoping it was just one weird one!

I'm guessing from your username that you already have a child? How old are they? Xx

@Jackitty - The wait sucks!!! I’ve bought some FRER tests.. I’m the same though I just want to know one way or the other so I can stop driving myself crazy haha

I've got a couple of frer too, but won't use those until Wednesday at the earliest (I hope!)

Guys I need your help, I’ve just done a First Response and either I have line eye or there is a very faint line, also concerned as I know frer have a tendency to throw false positives 🙈 thoughts?

I can absolutely see a line! I don't know much about FRERs throwing out false positives so can't comment on that!

Have you got another one to do in the morning with FMU?? eeek!

I thought FRERs were twice as sensitive as clear blue and therefore more likely to be accurate?

But in any event I see that second line!! 😁

I'm too scared to be excited incase it's a false positive it showed up pretty quick within about a minute! But what if it's not false and it's real?! Ahhhh gosh I hope it's legit!

@mummabubs ahh thank you! Oh I'm not sure?! I read the Amazon reviews many saying they were super sensitive and accurate but also a few saying they got false positives! I hope it's genuine!

@MumofOne93 I've never heard of a false positive to be honest (unless of course its a chemical but even then its not technically false!)

I was always told a line is a line so I think CONGRATS are in order!!!!

Tested first thing this morning verrrry faint line maybe even fainter than yesterday :( maybe chem let’s wait and see lots of positive vibes and baby dust x

It's still quite early so maybe there's just not enough hormone at the moment xx

Maybe though I have gone back to them and this mornings is actually slightly darker but I’d imagine darkened outside the window? Who knows!

Also got AF cramps and twinges today- I think it’s so hard to be excited/get your hopes up when it’s been a while and you know things can go wrong 🙈

I feel like they are quite clear positives x

Thanks unknown, sometimes you just need someone else's opinion to validate for you, I've not told DH as keep thinking it's going to disappear or something haha xx

@MumofOne93 I feel for you!! I’m in exactly the same position as you, FRER positive yesterday which looks very very similar to your line, but this morning CB 6 days early test was so so faint. Reassuring to hear that FRER are twice as sensitive... that could explain the fainter line.
