10 days of positive OPKs - what is going on?

Hello,

Been trying to figure out my cycle, yet to have a first proper period since giving birth almost a year ago now. I've started doing OPKs, at first getting negatives but then they suddenly jumped to positives - both lines the same colour, I kept testing though incase the test line did get darker and I could then say that was my Peak. Anyway, as the title says.... day 10 today and still having OPKs looking very much the same?

Anyone else had this?

Yes, it's what I used when conceiving previously. Unless I've picked up a dodgy batch?

I don't know, the test lines do seem weirdly faint like they're not working properly? You're definitely dipping them long enough? Most examples I've seen (and my own ones) have been much darker like in this photo from Google. Sorry not to be more helpful! Might be worth ordering some different OPKs just in case?

Do a pregnancy test, OPKs pick up hcg as well! 😉

Yeah I'm certainly dipping long enough, is strange isn't it. Now I think about it, I do recall the control lines being dark like in your images when previously conceiving.

Must be annoying waiting for a proper period/to ovulate. I'm pregnant now, but the wait to get a proper cycle after coming off the pill felt long.

Just feels like I'm in limbo, I'm breastfeeding so I've no clue when to expect my periods back but I had hoped by 1 year they would have returned

definitely get a clear blue OPK, the flashing/ static smileys are sooooo useful!

Thing is @Kipkay35 without knowing where I am in a cycle, I could end up spending ££££s on those as yet to have my first period.

Although I did have a negative opk today!

Hello. The control and test lines both look a bit darker than in the other tests you shared. So yes, a more convincing positive?

Have you been temping at all?

I wonder if your body is trying to ovulate, but isn't quite getting there? If you haven't looked into this, I also wonder if it's worth talking to your Dr, as I think they can give you something to kick-start a period (and therefore a fresh new cycle where hopefully you'd ovulate)? Not sure if you can take it while you're breastfeeding.
