Hey everyone!

So I'm TTC and have pcos. I was sent for a transvaginal scan to have a look at what's going on and why my periods are becoming increasingly worse...

She asked me where I was in my cycle and I was 9Dpo, but she said I was ovulating right now.

Fast forward 3 days and I'm now testing positive.. how could I have been ovulating if I was pregnant? I've taken two tests, both positive within 2 mins. Trying not to get my hopes up :(

Congratulations!

I don't know if you can/could have been ovulating in early pregnancy or during your TWW. But I do know that you can get a corpus luteum (pregnancy cyst) in your ovary - this helps secrete the extra progesterone I believe!

The sonographer may have seen the early stages of this and believed it to be a mature follicle ready to release an egg?

I'm by no means an expert and could be talking out of my behind, but I had a large corpus luteum in early pregnancy :) (largest size it was measured at was 4.5cm!)

Thank you so much! I've been worrying all day. Really appreciate your reply. I thought she would have seen if it was a cyst as i have PCOS and she was saying my right ovaries are bad but the left were okay but ovulating.
