Hi everyone, this was our first month ttc, did ovulation tests and everything to get the timing right. I'm 11 dpo today, and I'm keep getting nausea and sensitive boobs, sorry for tmi, but yesterday I also started to cramp a little, also been craving like hell the past few days and I can't stop eating. My AF time is rather irregular after coming off contraception 2 months ago, so I have no idea when AF is due. What are the chances we were successful, or when should I start testing? Sorry for the long message I'm 23 so kinda new to this x

Okay, so firstly I wouldn't get your hopes up too much. Your chance of conceiving any one cycle, even if you had sex plenty over the fertile window, are about 1/4 to 1/3rd of the time. This is why it can take a healthy couple with no fertility issues up to a year to conceive.

You also cannot trust the symptoms. This wont have happened previously if you were on hormonal birth control before but for natural cycles the symptoms caused by the rise in progesterone towards a period are exactly the same as early pregnancy symptoms (sore boobs, slight nausea, crampy, etc). Cravings and an increase in appetite also do not happen quite that early in a pregnancy. Overall, try not to read into symptoms before your period is late as that way madness lies. A good line is that if you are pregnant enough for pregnancy symptoms, you are pregnant enough to test positive.

If you are 11dpo, you would expect a period to come between 13 and 15dpo (if not pregnant).

My personal recommendation would be to wait for 15dpo then test if your period hasn't showed. But you should get a pretty reliable yes/no result from 13dpo, especially if you use a sensitive pink dye test like a FRER.
