OPK question

I'm using CB advanced OPK for the first time this month. I used cheap One Step sticks last month and did manage to find my peak, but having read about the CB Advanced on here they sounded so much easier so decided to give them a go!

This morning I got my peak on CD14. I didn't get any flashing smilies, it went straight from low yesterday to static smiley. Out of curiosity I dipped a cheapie in the same wee and it was starkly negative, not even a "nearly there" line.

Has anyone had anything like this before, or know why it could happen? The One Step tests do say to test in the afternoon, rather than FMU, so perhaps that could be it?

I'm tracking BBT, so hopefully I'll see that go up in the next few days if this really is my peak.

Just thought I'd update in case anyone comes across this in future!

I used the cheapies a few times throughout the day yesterday and the line got darker and peaked around 10pm.

So it seems like either the CB Advanced is picking up a different level of LH where it can "predict" the peak about to happen, or I just had a faulty test with freak lucky timing!

@TTCAli I had one month where I got an unexpected static smiley too, much earlier in my cycle than normal. I’d been using the CB for a few months and trusted them but wondered if it was a false result. But that same cycle AF also arrived a week early, so I think the test was spot on. Just got my second BFP using the CB. Good luck!
