No AF....but no BFP either!

I took a test today (not first pee of the day as I didn't have any tests in!) and it was a bfn. I took a frer around 5 days before AF, also a bfn.

I've been ttc for 13 months now, my last pregnancy was August/September 2019 which ended in the loss of my right tube as it was an ectopic. Pregnancy before that in 2018 ended in a mc :(
I kind of feel like it won't happen for me after trying for so long and this month is the first that I 'felt' pregnant and hopeful. A few dull cramps not like af pains. Feeling waves of nausea and quite warm (I'm usually always freezing lol)

Has anyone else experienced having bfn with no sign of AF?

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 am 5th day late too! More negative tests. I've been using an OPK, I know it's not 100% reliable but there is a second line there, not as dark as the control so not positive, but am interested to see if it gets any darker. Have you thought about scheduling a blood test with your doctor?

@Lolajames sorry about your mmc. That's so interesting that you didn't get a positive using tests. I haven't used the at home blood test. I've got a blood test booked in a weeks time if my period doesn't come before then

Every time I get a cramp I think here we go, it's finally arrived and then there's nothing there. Going to the toilet and praying I don't see any bleeding.

Hi @Lolajames sorry about your MMC. I had a miscarriage last year and my first cycle after was two weeks late, second cycle over a week late. I had weird symptoms with both, but neg tests. Was told it could take a while for cycles to return.
Hope that’s not the case for you, but I got my hopes up a bit both months

@choccrumpet think I’ll book a private hcg test, my GP I don’t expect to be too helpful. Where are you having yours?

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I'm getting mine done at my GP surgery. I asked a nurse to book me in, didn't have to go through my GP which was new to me. I wonder if you could try ringing reception and asking to get it booked in, see what they say?

I hope my late period isn't due to my chemical last month, as you had described with your mmc 😔 it's never been late before with my previous chemicals so I'm really hoping that's not the case

Oh that’s great you got booked in! I haven’t used opks now, don’t have any left, but interesting it’s still showing up on there.

I think if it’s not been late for you before, you’re probably okay on that front. EPU sent me away without telling me periods would be messed up. I thought I might have retained product when I was that late, but scan was clear, and then they said to expect unusual cycles for 2-3 months

@Lolajames I also did read the lot of threads where people did get pregnant straight after a miscarriage, so fingers crossed for you x
