Confused about pregnancy dates!

I’m after some advice about due dates. I’ve just found out we are expecting our 3rd little one. My lmp date is 16th January, but as I have been tracking ovulation with a digital clear blue monitor I know I didn’t ovulate until cd26 (I have a DS who is 8 months and still breast feeding so my cycles are only just returning!)

Will healthcare professionals take this in to account or will they just predict due date based on my lmp?

Thanks :)

I imagine they will do it on lmp until you get a dating scan

Your due date is based on your measurements at your 12 week dating scan which is much more accurate than your LMP.

Until then they will base how far along you are on your LMP

They will go on the first date of your lmp. I ovulate quite late and I ovulated on cd20 when I fell pregnant. I just told them my period started 6 days later than it did to fit the 28 day cycle theory and I was spot on with my dates according to scans.

They will go by lmp until your 12 week scan and then may move your date according to babies size :)
