Been ttc for 4 months now and have now worked myself into a state. Got my period this morning. I feel like I am doing everything right, I am taking pre natal vitamins, using conception lube, tracking my cycle, having sex all through ovulation window, legs up after sex and I’ve not got my BFP yet. I feel a bit thick like why hasn’t it happened ? I feel quite isolated as I haven’t really anyone to chat to about this. I’m considering buying an Ava bracelet ? Has anyone tried one ?
I’m nearly 33 so this morning I’m thinking have I left this too late Sad

How are you tracking your cycle, are you temping/using OPK's to try and pin-point when you ovulate? So far I haven't ovulated when it would typically be predicted.

Thanks for ur reply. I’ve been using an app and ovulation tests. So far my cycles have been 27, 24, 26,26 days. I was on the implant for years before this and honestly I feel a bit thick like I am not even sure if I am tracking correctly !

@MrsSugar I wish I had something to share but I’m in a similar boat, 6 months ttc and taking all the same steps you noted in your original post. It’s so incredibly frustrating isn’t it!! I’ve even tried some tricks like taking cough medicine as it’s supposed to thin your cm. So hard when some people seems to get pregnant so easily!

I think me and my partner are going to try and have a break from opks/peeing on sticks this month and just try and dtd every other day through the fertile window and be a bit more chill about it. Not sure if it will help!

Fingers crossed for us both 🤞

It's really frustrating isn't it, I'm been using OPK's and catching the peak but I'm starting to temp for cycle 4 to try and confirm if ovulation is actually occurring or if my body is just 'trying to' after 8 years of nothing on the pill.
Last cycle was only 25 days and Ov day 17.... this month I'm only just Ov (I think) today at day 23, such a difference!

DinosaurDiana · 20/02/2021 09:36

How often are you DTD ? You can do it too much !

Leo090813 · 20/02/2021 09:38

No advice other than don't worry, it will happen! Me and my partner were trying since August last year to no avail then I got a BFP in January which unfortunately ended in miscarriage but it's given me hope that atleast I can get pregnant. It's easy to say but try not to let it get you stressed, I know exactly how you feel but you'll get there! I'm trying some vitamin b6 tablets this month as when I had my MC they said my progesterone was low so I thought some vitamins may help but we will see. Don't give up, your time will come Daffodil

The clearblue digital ovulation tests worked for us first time, we DTD about every second day during flashing smiley then loads during solid smiley

Thanks for all the replies !

Yeah it is really frustrating and this morning I’ve just thought shit have I waited too long now ! My husband is supportive but very laid back and not the most clued up on cycles etc. We have been dtd daily through the time I thought I was ovulating !

For me the most frustrating thing is I was raped in my early 20s and ended up pregnant which I had a termination. I keep thinking how the hell did I end up pregnant then and not now. Also part of me thinks am I being punished for doing that Sad I suppose when hormones are all over on your period it makes your thoughts run wild !

Will keep trying and maybe try the clear blue tests ! I didn’t have periods for a long time on the implant so feel like I am still unsure of my cycles etc

Thanks again for the replies Flowers

OvuSense was the biggest game changer for me.

I’m 38 and had had been ttc number 4 for 16 months.

I’d been tracking ovulation with opk’s but finally decided to invest in an OvuSense. I couldn’t temp the regular way as I wake too many times during the night etc.

OvuSense is more accurate anyway as it takes readings of your core body temp every 3 minutes through the night.

I fell pregnant after 2 cycles using it, unfortunately miscarried. But then fell pregnant again on cycle 4 of using it and am currently 9 weeks pregnant!

I also took (still take) a high dose of folic acid, and a high dose of vitamin d. I was also taking 200mg of ubiquinol which helps with egg quality in older women.

Good luck x

Do not feel bad about terminating a pregnancy, especially in those circumstances. You are not being punished for that.

Workinghardeveryday · 20/02/2021 23:06

Give yourself a break! It’s only been a few months (I know, I know, feels like an eternity when your trying). It will happen. Pelvis tilted for 30 mins after, not just legs, you probably are but just a thought. Worked for me twice xxx
