Positive OPK/EWCM in TTW anyone?

So I finally appear to have ovulated 6/7 days ago on what seems to be a long cycle this month. Everything seems strange and different to normal my temps, my cm, well everything really. I'm still using OPKs just in case as my body had tried to ovulate twice previously this cycle but failed as my temps never stayed up. However I finally got my temp shift (barring a big dip below coverline at 4/5dpo) anyway, my OPK was positive today? And I've been getting an abundance of ewcm the last few days whereas I'm usually creamy or dried up by now..
Can anyone shed some light please? IC this morning was BFN, not surprising since its still a bit too early to test 😕 just wondering if its normal to get an lh surge after O as I dont usually test this late on x

If you have EWCM then have sex asap.

@Horehound have been covering our bases just in case. Although my temps have been up and FF has pinpointed O 6 days ago. Wish I knew what was going on

How did it go? Having this during 2WW, now late by a couple days, but negative test. Covered bases also, but the EWCM continued up until 2 days before my period was due

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 still nothing. Now on CD46. All BFN, temps are lower than usual this cycle with no temp shift. Had lots of watery cm few days ago as well as a little pink tinged cm after sex which I thought was my period but it wasn't, nothing at all now. Just want my period to come!! Been trying some reflexology massage on my pressure points tonight in the hope it works to bring on my period.

How many DPO are you? X

I don't temp so I can't say for sure, and I had a LOT of flashing smiley on the CB ovulation kit with no peak. Wondering now if I just kept gearing up to ovulate but didn't.

Its so annoying just not knowing isn't it!

See I've never used the CB digi opks as I have high estrogen levels on a normal day so mine would always flash (pretty sure it flashes when detecting high estrogen and the static smiley is when you get your LH surge). I use the easy@home opks off amazon and use it with the premom app it's brill as you upload pics and it analyses your peak based off the lines. It's been great the last few cycles at pinpointing O so I was always sure when I'd get my period! However this month I can see from my chart my body tried ovulating twice but temps didn't stay up for longer than 4 days so fertility friend removed my crosshairs so frustrating. Its been an expensive roller coaster of a cycle the amount of sticks I've peed on is UNREAL 😫

You may have missed your LH surge with your clearblue though so you may still be in luck! Have you any other symptoms? Keep testing and keep me updated. Good luck!!!! 🤞

You’re right, it measures estrogen for flashing smiley. Oh that’s so interesting, I’ll switch to those, thanks for the recommendation!

That’s especially annoying as you’ve got the testing down to such a fine art. I wonder why it’s suddenly gone haywire. I’ve really only started the ovulation tests last month because things are feeling off after a miscarriage last Sept, before was just having sex every day or two of cycle, and when seeing EWCM.

Well I'm on cd49 still nothing. My temps are abnormally low for me this cycle they're averaging 35.7c which is so odd. I just want my period now! I'm going to try some reflexology on myself to see if that will bring on my period as apparently it works!

If I were you I'd ditch the CB and use standard OPKs to save you the confusion. Sex every other day as apposed to every day to give the swimmers a chance to develop. On the plus side at least you know you're capable of conceiving and ovulating xx

Thank you, I feel okay about it, and have had maybe 3 normal cycles since - just frustrated I can't seem to get pregnant again. And now can't even try next month.

That is very odd. I hope reflexology works for you. Otherwise maybe worth seeing a doctor if nothings happened in another few days.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 it's still early days so who knows you may get lucky! I have PCOS and gave up trying for our 2nd baby after 7 years of putting heart and soul into it. 2 months after giving up I fell pregnant and to this day I still can't believe it lol. I dont have periods under stress and I've had some family issues recently so that's probably why I'm having a long cycle this month.

Maybe for you a month off will do you good so you can focus on some self care and manage whatever anxieties you have. Keep the faith hun! Xx

So I think I’m 6 dpo, I don’t temp but according to opk’s.. I got a weird urge to poas yesterday and to my surprise my opk was almost positive if not pretty much. So I’ve done another today (the bottom) and it’s really high also.. any ideas why LH might surge this early on in the TWW? I usually get a high LH later on usually 12dpo..

@Neverlookback32 seven years! I'm so so pleased it had a happy ending for you, but I can't imagine the scale of the disappointments you must have had. Thanks for all the advice, and sorry you've had some family issues. Last month was a difficult anniversary for me, so maybe that subconsciously has affected my cycle even though I felt fine.

Erm well after me wondering this myself and doing some research your OPKs may be dark for a number of reasons, the first being that you maybe didn't ovulate the first time around, and you're body is gearing up again. The 2nd is thats its possible to have multiple surges anytime during your cycle with no meaning and the 3rd is that it could be picking up HCG (LH & HCG are structurally very similar)

However, and I don't mean to burst your bubble. If you are 6dpo then it's way too early to test. 6dpo is the earliest you are likely to implant then it takes another 24-48hrs for HCG to build up in your system to be picked up on a sensitive test such as FRER. OPKs will never pick up HCG before a pregnancy test will. So usually you would be seeing BFPs on a HPT long before an OPK. I have had positive OPKs regularly throughout this cycle which is completely onovulatory so far and I'm cd49 now 😔

I would wait until at least 9po and test with a frer with FMU. Good luck!

To update, a week late now, negative test yesterday. Not feeling anything except extremely bloated !

CD51 for me. Still no AF. Feel a bit crampy on & off. Not tested for a few days but Amazon are delivering my FRERs before 7pm today. We will see but I doubt it will be anything other than BFN since my BBTs are so low x

I have bought some also but saving them up for a few days later, because I’m feeling wasteful to keep peeing on things that are negative 😂

@Neverlookback32 I feel like my period is coming any moment (dull ache in stomach, and slight back ache) but I just went to the loo and had ewcm again when I wiped. So confused! 10 days late now, would you class that as ovulating early now on the next cycle?

Could of literally written this myself I normally have short cycles between 20-24 days last month was 19 days,I’m on cycle day 29 today feeling tired nauseous but still bfn I thought I saw a faint line on frer but as it dried it has pretty much disappeared and impossible to see in pictures so could be my imagination 👀 however I ovulated late this month got a positive opk cycle day 16 so I’m only 10 dpo hoping it was a late implantation and I’m still in with a chance 🙃

Fingers crossed Backtoblack that that's it and you are pregnant when you test in a couple more days

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I wouldnt call it your next cycle since you haven't had a period yet however you may be ovulating. Have you taken an OPK? If you're having EWCM get to bed ASAP lol 😆
