10dpo with brownish spotting

I am 10dpo (well post positive ovulation test) and 1 week before AF and tonight I had a brownish tinge when I wiped after the loo... no spotting of blood as such just a tinge on the loo roll. I took a pregnancy test this morning and it was negative (I know probably slightly early for test but my periods aren't totally regular) what do you think about the brownish tinge?

Second time it has happened, this time was more like a wee spot of it, last was a tinge over the whole tissue. Anyone got any ideas? Is it too late for implantation bleed?
