Implantation or mid cycle bleed?

Hello, I am very new to this and have not posted anything before but I’m hoping someone can shed some light on what is going on with my body this month.

My cycles are a regular 26/28 days AF is always 3 days long, I have never had any mid cycle bleeding, ovulation bleeds or anything like that.

So AF came on time 04/02/2021 lasted the same 3 days as always and it was a very normal period. Then CD 11 (11/02) I had one day of brown spotting only when wiping. I dismissed it with it being so early in my cycle and thought it was a blip. I then ordered some cheap ovulation tests because I thought I would be going into my furtive window and my LH is low on every test right up until now. Fast forward to CD 14 (17/02) I then started having a mid cycle bleed and it is still there today CD 16. It’s only really when I wipe (sorry TMI). Varies in colour from pink/red and brown.
What on earth could be causing it?
Please help! X

We are literally the same person 😂 my AF started on the 4th Feb too, lasted 5 days and then I had brown bleeding when I wiped which turned pale pink (this was the 13th). The brown was in a hell of a lot of CM and left me so confused, spent the whole weekend googling and searching forums but both said either implantation or ovulation bleeding. I've not had anything since, other than cramps on my ovulation day so I'm thinking mine was maybe blood from the egg detaching - it's the only explanation I can find. AF due on the 27th so we'll see!

Sorry I don't have any advice but tracking this out of interest! My last AF started 28th January, but I have pink/red spotting today. AF not due for another 10/11 days based on my cycle.

Been googling as well and it does come up with implantation bleeding. May be worth a test in a few days? xx

Aww Bee44 it’s just the strangest thing. I have never had a month like this before.

Janey3090 mines around the same 10/11 days! Currently I’m still bleeding it’s day 3. If it’s at that would mean she has shown her face after just 2 weeks 😞
I’m secretly hoping it’s implantation I’m just not holding out to much hope! Fingers crossed yours is too! X

@Janey3090 I thought implantation initially but according to Dr. Google it's virtually impossible as ovulation hadn't happened yet 🤔 I bought some cheapies from Amazon yesterday so I might test at the weekend to put my mind at rest. AF is due the following weekend (my cycles are only 23 days at the minute) so I'll know for sure when/if that appears!

@Stace123456 same! I only came off the pill in January though so maybe my body is still trying to sort itself out, still frustrating though! Especially for a symptom spotter like me 😂

I haven’t been on the pill for such a long time so mine is a really really strange month!
It’s the wait to find out what it is that’s killing me!

Like do I test around the time my ‘normal’ AF would arrive or do I class this bleed as a AF so I’m now CD 3?

This whole TTC and working out what your body is doing thing is super confusing 😂😂

@Stace123456 two weeks is very fast though - normally a short cycle would be 21 days? So absolutely could be implantation, or if not a mid-cycle bleed, though another thread another poster said to me mine could be ovulation bleeding so maybe that too! Not sure if that can just happen some months but not others though?

So many possibilities... absolutely hope so much that it is an implantation bleed for you though, that would be so amazing. How long had you been on the pill? xx

@Bee44 is it possible you may have ovulated early this month, sometimes women can release an additional egg, have you been checking your LH levels?

If you have some tests it's absolutely worth doing it to ease your mind. I have read that it's best to do it 3 days after implantation bleed xx

@Stace123456 I wouldn't personally class it as AF just yet if it's just brown, unless it's developed into fresh red blood? Hopefully it stops soon either way!

@Janey3090 yes maybe, I'm not sure how long after the egg is fertilised that implantation happens 🤔 may need to research that one. No not tracking LH just yet, I'm simply symptom spotting for ovulation which I suppose doesn't tell me my exact fertile window or ovulation date. I had a few days of increased libido, followed by the blood in CM and then EWCM a day or so after that. I'm guessing my ovulation day was the EWCM day but there's mixed reading online with some saying that it happens before ovulation day and some saying it happens after.
