tested day before AF due, BFP, is that possible?

have 32 day cycles and Af due tomorrow, felt odd last week or so, but as only ttc cycle 2 thought it was my imagination. Have had stomache ache like i was AF was gonna arrive any moment, but tested - not sure why to prove to myself i was imagining it! Got a BFP , can that be right, i thought that the hormones wouldn't show up this early? Also (sorry if tmi but..) have large amount of CM. So.....gonna test again later, do you often get a false BFP?

Almost impossible to get a false neg, much more likely to get false neg. The pregnancy hormones can be present even 3 days before your AF is due...

Thanks, yes number 1. think thats why i'm having trouble believing it! Oh my! How soon should i see doctor, know my friends gp wouldn't see her till she had missed 2 periods.

THat's the trouble I think with knowing so soon - you're just so excited and yet you can't really get the ball rolling just yet so it probably won't seems real yet! You're probably best off going to the doc's when you're about 6-8 weeks (estimated from the date of your missed period - so not even til tomorrow!). There are estimated date calculators in the net (bbc has a good one)

Spend the time on mumsnet and surfing the net finding out all you need to know. The first 12 weeks are DEATHLY slow, then it all picks up speed. Join an ante-natal thread!

thanks all. tested again with different brand and still BFP! think it feel odd cause i'm not late and also cause it feel like Af imminent, spoke to a very close friend who felt the same with her 2nd. thanks for the support. x

I got my BFP on Monday but AF wasnt due till Wed. So yes !

I too wasnt really sure why i tested as i was too convinced that AF was immenent as i had the same pre period feelings. These continued the day after my BFP too.

Congrats!! If you want to go to the Dr sooner then go. I made my appointment as soon as I got the BFP and I'm glad I did as the midwife booking appointments were filling up so if I'd have left it til 6/8 weeks, I'd have had trouble getting that booking appointment. I went to the Dr who just reminded me what foods to avoid etc and told me what happens now (as last time was about 5 yrs ago). Then I had to pick up a pregnancy pack from reception and arrange my booking appointment. I also arranged a blood test as my cycles were a bit all over the place.
