Just as it says

How soon did you conceive following a MC..

I found out this week I had a early MC and am petrified of trying again 😓 so just after other people's positive stories 🥰

6 months - but we weren't really trying for the first 3 because we were living with family.

I'm sorry for your loss Thanks

unicornpower · 18/02/2021 13:42

It took us 5 months OP, I had abreally short cycle straight after and then they just settled down. I struggled as so many people said 'you're super fertile after a loss!' Which I know is true for alot of people but it really sent me into a tailspin when I didn't catch straight away.

I'm so sorry for your loss, its truly awful and I hope you're looking after yourself. It is scary starting to try again, I totally get it but try and stay positive Flowers

2 months, currently 28 weeks pregnant x

Littlebee1990 · 18/02/2021 14:44

So sorry for your loss ♥️

SmidgenofaPigeon · 18/02/2021 14:45

On the third try again after losing at 7 weeks. Ironically as it was Christmas so wasn’t a proper try at all as I wanted to relax and get drunk Blush
I’m ten weeks now. Flowers for you OP X

Absy · 18/02/2021 14:46

Still trying but it’s only been two months. I’m so sorry for your loss - it’s horrible.

If you want to, there’s a bunch of us TTCing after a miscarriage over here www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/4126652-ttc-after-miscarriage if you want to chat.

Toblerone12 · 18/02/2021 14:49

Sorry for all of your losses ❤️😓
I think I'm going to wait for 1 period and start trying again 🤞🏻

Thank you @Absy I will check that out 😊

I'm sorry for your loss Flowers

It took 3 months to conceive again after my first MC and that pregnancy stuck. After my 2nd MC, it took 4 months, but that ended in an MMC. I was lucky to conceive again on the first cycle after my MMC and now almost 6wks.

Each time, we started TTC as soon as I got a negative and the bleeding stopped, but in a relaxed way. I think you are more fertile after a MC, so that probably helped.

Good luck - you'll know when you're ready to start TTC again.

Sorry for your loss Flowers I had an early miscarriage and conceived the following month. At the time I thought I wanted to be pregnant ASAP but I actually think I wasn’t fully healed so had some conflicting emotions when I got my BFP. I am now 8+4 and all seems ok so far Smile

Hohohole · 18/02/2021 14:58

So sorry for your loss, I never got a period and was pregnant straight away after. Probably a couple of weeks.

Absy · 18/02/2021 14:58

@Toblerone12 hopefully it will happen quickly for you. All the advice I’ve seen is wait until after the first period, but that’s more so that medical staff can more easily date conception. My first period after the MC was all over the place and I had random spotting and apparently that’s normal as well. It can take time for your cycle to settle down.

PeteGibbons · 18/02/2021 15:10

I conceived 10 days after my early miscarriage (5 weeks). Had a healthy baby. Obviously doesn't happen for everyone but we got very lucky.

User65412 · 18/02/2021 15:12

Sorry for your loss, OP. I had a mc at 10 weeks. I was pregnant the following 3 months in a row. I said I would be relaxed about it but ended up tracking my cycles, temping and ensuring sex around ovulation. I was completely obsessed and would start secretly testing a few a days after ovulation 'in case I ovulated early'. Sometimes more that once a day. Looking back I wasn't over the mc which explains the obsessive behaviour. The first 2 were chemicals and I'm now 31 weeks. I had mixed feelings and spent the first 12 weeks extremely anxious but I don't think there's much you can do about that when you've experienced a loss. All in all still only 8 months since starting ttc which I know makes us very lucky. It's hard to remember what's 'normal' when your desperate for a pregnancy and sadly mcs and chemicals are very common (much more than I realised). Best of luck to you and make sure you look after yourself and have support around you 💐

Hey ladies. Sorry for losses and congrats to those that are pregnant.. Can I just ask how long it took you ladies to get your period? I mc end of jan. My pregnancy test is now negative hcg still has a faint line but no period. Have booked to see pg next week. Is it possible to get my period back when my hcg has not reached 0 yet?
Is it true that it's best ttc after first period so the lining can heal?
Had a few abdominal pain yesterday but researched that the uterus is shrinking. We women go through loads. Shock :-)

Tbug · 19/02/2021 08:27

I'm still ttc after miscarriage in May, hope you're OK 🧡🧡🧡

Chanel05 · 19/02/2021 08:42

Sorry for your loss @Toblerone12

It took me 8 months to conceive and I had a mmc at 9 weeks. I then fell pregnant after another 8 months of ttc and my dd is now next to me in bed, cuddling her dad and both very much asleep Smile

Chanel05 · 19/02/2021 08:43

@Lizbb you need a hcg of 0 for ovulation (if it happens after a mc, doesn't always in the first cycle following) and then a period. I had surgical management for my mmc and eventually got a period 42 days later.

Lizbb · 19/02/2021 08:56

@Chanel05 thanks you. Hopefully period will come back soon lol. Wanna ttc again.

Toblerone12 · 19/02/2021 09:01

Thanks for all your answers 😊
We have decided to wait for 1 period so it's easier for dates and then we will start trying again 🤞🏻

About two months both times. I don't believe I ovulated for the first cycle after each one as they were both odd cycles but I concieved again as soon as I next ovulated.
