When do you ovulate?

When do you usually ovulate? When is the earliest/latest you've ever ovulated?

CD12 on a 27 day cycle x

Ovulated at cd20 this cycle and it's my first proper cycle off the pill

Day 9 or 10, 23-25 ish days cycle

First month after I came off the pill I ovulated like 7 days after my bleed (finished a full pack and had my bleed as usual), this month it was days 9 so still pretty early!

Earliest CD12 and latest CD21 (most recent - and BFP), usually and most often CD16. X

Day 16 or 17 on a 29/30 day cycle

Typically day 11 on 28 day cycle

Around day 16 of a 28 day cycle.
But in the past 15 cycles it has ranged from CD11 to CD17 so it's def not set in stone.

Latest CD23 in a 31 day cycle, earliest CD18 in a 27 day cycle. Most typical day for me is CD21.

For my two children it's been day 9, because weirdly the 2 out of the 3 times I got pregnant I only had sex once, crazy really. First baby I had a 26 day cycle, by the second baby I had a 28 day cycle.

I did try for many months to get pregnant for my second child after a miscarriage, things were out of sync for ages.

I can't remember when we DTD for the pregnancy I lost between my two at 10 wks, I think we just tried every other day from day 7.

I know everyone is different, but I've tried to suggest to friends who have struggled that they try either side of the standard day 12 & 14, just by telling my story. I wouldn't actually tell them to do it, that would be like saying they did it wrong.

The first day of your Period is cycle day 1. How long was the bleed ? If it was 5 days, then you ovulated 7 days after it that would give you day 12 ?!

@sayhellocaterpillar it lasted 5 days, only 23 days between the start of that one and the start of my next one so maybe ovulated on cd9, not too sure. I just remember I had EWCM pretty much instantly after finishing the first AF but I'm still not sure how long before ovulation that happens or whether it's at its peak on ovulation day.

I've just started tracking over the last few months and so far ovulation has been all over the place. First month was CD13, second was CD16 and this month is CD20. Cant figure out why it would be all over the place 🤦🏼‍♀️

@sayhellocaterpillar how do you know how long your cycles would have been if you got pregnant (as in, there was no end to your cycle those times)? I'm only pointing that out as a 28 day cycle with ovulation on CD9 isn't possible - the max LP is 17 day long and that's rare.

@Juno231 day 9 was the only day I had sex sorry, I didn't actually do an ovulation test so it could of been that I ovulated on day 9 or that night day 9 turned into day 10, or on day 10/11, depending on how long sperm survives. However generally I had a 26 day cycle pre first and second pregnancy. Then it's was quite random after second pregnancy ended in miscarriage. I had about a month of bleeding. Then tried for 5 months before getting pregnant again, so some cycles very long then reducing to a few months of 28 days.

Day 15/16 of 27 day cycle for me!

@sayhellocaterpillar aah that makes sense! They survive up to 5 days so sounds like you had a classic cycle - glad you got your babies!

When I conceived cd20

I'm day 12 from testing for 4 months with clear blue. My plan is to do it earlier as leaving until day 12-16 seems to be too late. So. I'll give starting from day 7 every other day a try ! 🙏

I’m on my first month using opks and on day 17. Had 7 days of high but no peak yet- no idea what’s going off!

Normally around 30/31 day cycle.

I had a chemical on the 14th feb and I'm ovulating now only 12 days later 😦 the body is a very weird thing as didn't expect to ovulate so soon 🤞🏻🙈

I've had a positive OPK on CD11 for the past two months (first two of using OPK) so I'm guessing ovulation on CD12. Cycle is average of 25 days.
