Me and my partner have decided we are ready to start trying for a baby 😬 im on cerelle and have been for the last two years. Ive looked online and it says to stop taking the pill at any time regardless of where you are in your pack which is fine but should i use other protection until ive had my first period? Or is it save to conceive before this? Thank you in advance for any advice ☺️

@Emmasharpling

Hey! I think it's easier if you wait until your first period as it's easier to determine dates when you conceive! 😊

It’s not unsafe before then, but it’s easier if you do it that way, as it makes it easier to work out your dates.

Especially right now; when face to face contact is quite low, that'll be useful for scheduling scans... but it’s not the end of the world if it doesn’t happen.

It’s not unsafe. If you want to find out more about your cycle and dates the book period power is a really good listen on audible.

Hi! Good luck on your TTC journey Smile

You can get pregnant anytime, and I've been told it's perfectly safe to do so too.

The benefit I suppose about waiting until your first period is that you can then figure out dates/when to test for ovulation etc. I came off mine in December, have had a period late Jan and now TTC. However, absolutely no reason why you can't get started now, and I have heard of people coming straight off and concieving too! xx
