Hi ladies, I’m on round 2 of clomid 100mg and going nuts. I’m 13DPO and getting stomach aches after I eat, out of breath going up the stairs and bouts of fatigue.

I’ve been getting BFNs since 8dpo. I have 33/34 day cycles so AF would be due around 18dpo.

I don’t know whether it’s clomid making me feel these things but I didn’t have the same side effects on clomid last cycle. Has anyone else had this with clomid?

Did anyone get these symptoms and a BFP?

Thank you!

Hi, I have had a bfp on clomid and didn't have these symptoms. I didn't really have any symptoms though other than slightly sore boobs.
How do you know what day you ovulate? Do you temp or do opk's?
Keeping fingers crossed for you that you get a bfp!

Hi @starfishy congratulations on your BFP!

I used Femometer OPK sticks to track ovulation. CD16 is my best guess because I have pcos and know that OPKs don’t work as well...

I know it could be me overthinking things but I’m really hoping the aches and tiredness I have are not just clomid side effects Confused

Yes I'd have thought any side effects would happen on the days when taking the tablets or maybe around ovulation if you were overstimulated so hopefully it just isn't showing on a test yet.
My bfp is now my almost 2 year old dd 😊
I've taken clomid this month again too (from left over tablets from before !) and am waiting on AF today. No symptoms other than my usual spotting has stopped but am trying not to test yet.

Yes I’m definitely feeling off toward the end of this cycle - that’s given me hope, thank you 🙏

Aw lovely that you have an almost 2yr old and clomid helped. Fingers crossed for you this time around too!

@hopefulTTC2021 are you getting any pain? If you have shortness of breath with pain, abdominal swelling, decrease in urination etc, you need to let your doctor know as Clomid can cause Ovarian Hyperstimulation. It’s not that common, but something to be aware of.

I got a BFP in October on first cycle of Clomid, unfortunately miscarried, but now have my second BFP from the second cycle. I was also on 100mg. Hope you get your BFP! Good luck Smile

@HT1507 sorry you went through a mc. I’m glad you have your BFP and wish you a healthy pregnancy. Smile

The consultant who put me on clomid just said to come back after 6 months on 100mg. Good idea to phone for a check up because ive had cramps through this cycle and now the stomach aches after meals aren’t nice.

Still hoping somehow a BFP will show up

@hopefulTTC2021 my consultant told me before starting Clomid that I was to contact him if I got any symptoms of Ovarian Hyperstimulation as it can be serious and the Clomid would have to be stopped. Maybe do a Google search just so you are aware of what to look out for. Not trying to scare you at all .. it’s just something that everyone taking Clomid should know about Smile

Are you to have day 21 bloods taken during any of your Clomid cycles or have you literally just been told to take it for 6 months and that’s it?

hopefulTTC2021 · 17/02/2021 13:12

He just said take it for 6 months - no mention of tracking cycles. He breezed through side effects and didn’t really explain that I should call so I assumed these were normal side effects.

I booked an appointment to see him on 1st March and I’ll ask to track at least one cycle to see what’s going on. Thank you for letting me know to look into hyperstimulation. I’ll research it too in the meantime.
