Ovulation help

Please can someone help or even just give me some advice because I’m getting so upset and disheartened 😔 I came off the pill in September and didn’t have my first period until Earlier this month and I think acupuncture helped with that. And I don’t have any underlying conditions as I’ve been tested for a lot so that has been ruled out (PCOS etc).. I was so excited when I came on my period because it meant that I could start tracking my cycle easier and hopefully be able to pinpoint ovulation. I’ve been doing OPK’s since the day my period stopped and I’m now on CD13 and I haven’t noticed one single change in my body. I thought I saw a really small bit of EWCM this morning but I’ve literally had nothing since and even tried getting some internally but I couldn’t get anything. My OPK’s haven’t changed at all since I’ve been testing and I even took a clear blue digital one today and it showed low fertility. I’m seriously worried that I’m not ovulating, I know some women ovulate later than others but I don’t feel like I’m even approaching ovulation 😔 all my partner and I want is to get a BFP or at least a positive ovulation test but I just don’t feel like that’s going to happen. Anyone had anything similar or can offer any advice? X

So I talked to you on another thread - I had a 141 day first cycle off of the pill before a period. I then ovulated late in cycle 2 - CD33 but nonetheless conceived on that cycle. So ovulation does not need to be on time to be successful. Overall if you do not have PCOS etc then you probably will ovulate! (It isn't true to say you 'are' ovulating as the pill stops that entirely). Btw, you could ovulate as late as CD20 and still have a normal length cycle so dont despair!

In terms of ovulation tests - some women have a 'long peak' where their tests get slowly darker and show something a lot of the time. Some women (like me) have a sharp peak where they are blank 99% of the time then positive all of a sudden. Also worth saying that only temps can truly say if you ovulated but they are a lot of faff.

The pill prevents ovulation, so coming off it often means a few cycles where ovulation is delayed whilst it trends back to normal length cycles (hopefully). You're welcome to join our group (currently called Post Pill Party - The Ceillidh) if you would like to chat to some women who have all been or are in the same boat.

@TheDaydreamBelievers yes I remember, thank you for your help it really means a lot! Sometimes you feel like you’re going through it alone and that something is wrong with you. I’d love to join the Post pill group I think it would really put my mind at ease, thank you ☺️X
