Metaformin and conception

Hi ladies
I was recently prescribed metaformin. Currently been 5 weeks since I started. I was told I need to take it for 3months. I was wondering about sucess stories..how long was it before you concieved while on it? I am also taking inositol . Full dose of that is 3 scoops but I take 2 since Im taking metaformin aswell.

@Iloveoreos hi again! Just wanted to update you with my metformin and inositol journey. No pregnancy yet but I have managed to bring my ovulation forward from CD30/32 to CD21 so I'm happy so far. Fingers crossed for both of us x

Hows metafromin going for u so far. Ive started 3 doses. I was scared to start 3 after finishing 2 doses a day so oushed it out another week

@Iloveoreos all good here now. The tummy upset was a pain but everything is normal now, apart from feeling extremely ill if I have more than 2 glasses of wine 😂 so I've stopped my Saturday night wind down which can only be good for me anyway! I hope the new dosage will be easy on you x

How long have u been on metaformin so far

@Iloveoreos 3 months now so not too long but hopefully that gives you peace of mind that the side effects don't last forever lol. I also just went ahead and upped the dosage over 3 weeks so I probably suffered more than I needed to but I was impatient and determined 😂

How long have they told u to continue the meds for

@Iloveoreos was never given a time frame so I'll just stay on them until clinics reopen and I can see my consultant

@stabal did u go private or nhs?

@Iloveoreos NHS. I was referred in 2019, fell pregnant March 2020 then miscarried May. Between all that and the pandemic I'm still waiting for a follow up appointment with my HSG results and my OHs latest sperm analysis 🙄
