Pre conception vitamins advice needed!

Hello everyone,
Newbie here, so not up to speed on the lingo, apologies!
Hubby and I are planning to start trying in the next few months. I’m having my coil out on Monday, after having one fitted for the last 9 years. I want to give myself a couple of months to get my cycles up to speed. I’ve been doing some research on pre conception vitamins but it feels like a minefield!
Please can you recommend a good all round vitamin? I’m 32yrs old, and a vegetarian with quite severe IBS (sorry if too much info!), so struggle to keep my B12 levels etc up naturally anyway.
Should my husband be taking vitamins too, or is that not necessary?
Sorry for so many questions, and thanks in advance for your help and advise 😊

Hi @IamMrsO
I’d recommend keeping it simple as your cycles get back on track by taking folic acid with added vitamin b12 and vitamin D.

All the conception vitamins like pregnacare and such I’ve read so many things about it delaying ovulation or your period, so I wouldn’t take that risk.
Unless you specifically need extra vitamins (like b12 which you can with your folic acid) because your doctor has said so, then eating a healthy balanced diet should be good for now.

They work for some women, but not all, so I wouldn’t rely on taking the good experience stories as gospel.

Give your time body to get back on track, stay healthy and have fun practising! Good luck! x
