So, one of my closest friends is pregnant (10 weeks). Been telling everyone. Really happy and excited.
Thought her partner felt the same way, now he’s run off and left her hanging. Said he never really wanted this but never said anything before-hand. She even told him months before conception that she had to come off the pill coz of side effects. So high risk of pregnancy if he didn’t use condom. But he never did. Told her she’d be a great mother, so she thought he would be completely on board.
Now the treacherous little toad has deserted her and she’s thinking about termination.
There’s no chance of reconciliation as he’s shacked up with one of her friends.

If she wants a termination, then she should have one. I wouldn't want to be tied for life to a twat.

Sounds like they hadn't actually discussed having children together

What is your role ?

She’s absolutely crushed. Just don’t know what to say to her. She has a great career. But if she goes down single mum route, she’ll lose it all.
Just want to know what others would advise if she was your best friend.

I wouldn't advise anything. I'd just support any choices she made.

Same as gamerchick, I'd support her choices. It does sound like he was never all that on-board.
