Would you say this is a high ovulation test ? I don't really get peaks but I get highs like this

@Msmith1234 Hi! It is hard to tell from the photo, do you have a clearer one?

I use Premom app to read the tests for me, have you tried that?

I've attached a photo of what my "highs" looked like. I do think everyone is different though, some people get blinding positives and others are lighter.

Hi sorry this might be a clearer photo and explain it better. The high I was talking about was the bottom one x

@Msmith1234 I think it looks very close to being just as dark, maybe even as dark!

I read on the Q&A section of the Premom app that some women naturally have lower LH levels so find your darkest line out of all tests and identify this one as your peak. You can manually label it on the app if it doesn't automatically do it for you.

Did you do this test today? If so keep testing because you may find you get a darker line. Mine identified "peak" on CD18 but I then got a higher and new peak on CD19.

Thank you so much for your help. I understand better now! I think I naturally test lower as I've never had a strong peak. Yes this was today x

@Msmith1234 hiya hun. Why is it that last test at the buttom has 2 lines but it say low. If it was positive would the line be there and it says positive?

Msmith1234 · 14/02/2021 22:40

I'm really not sure why it's saying it's low. It looks high to me and positive. It's always said low for me 😓 wondering if that will change

@Msmith1234 apologies hun. Message was for someone else and I was meant to alter what I wrote. Sorry

I can see the test line is getting dark but it is still negative. How long is your cycle length? You may have time to get a positive. Just keep testing and look for the sharp increase. Good luck!

Hi everyone, I’m just wondering if anyone can help me decipher my LH test results. I’ve tested for 10 days in a row, at approx 3pm each day and have made sure not to pee at least 2 hours before hand, so I’ve followed the test guidelines rigidly. I got very faint lines for the first few days, then slightly darker, then a 0.52 on the Premom app. That was 3 days ago and my last 2 days have been much lower (0.15 and 0.13), should I take the 0.52 as my peak? It says low on the app but I’m conscious that everyone’s levels are different. Thanks for your help 😊

Louisa199 · 17/04/2021 10:43

@Spark2022 Can you share screenshots of your chart and test gallery? I wonder if you are still in the follicular phase, if so, it is normal that you tested low LH for days. Anyway, keep testing to see how your ratio goes in the coming few days. Although the LH levels are different from person to person, in most cases, only a positive LH result indicates that ovulation is coming soon. 0.52 is quite low to be marked as a peak.

Spark2022 · 17/04/2021 21:07

Hi @Louisa199, thanks so much for the response. I can’t attach a photo as I’m only a member of mumsnet since yesterday and apparently you have to wait 48 hours until that feature becomes available? So I’ll try do that tomorrow 😊

mummysharkk · 17/04/2021 21:52

@Msmith1234 unless you're already doing this, I'd leave the test 20 mins before taking a photo on your app.

I once had a low as dark as yours and had left it out after the picture by accident. Pictured again and it was massively high!

Now, I leave the test at least 20 mins (so the background looks white not a shade of pink) and I also take 3 separate pics of the same test and save the one in the middle, deleting the other 2- again this seems to vary on the light and angle!

Hi @Spark2022 welcome to MN! I would take those OPK guidelines with a pinch of salt - it can take a bit of experimentation to work out what is right for you. I conceived in Feb (though had a MC last month) and had the following:

CD 12 - low at 2pm
CD12 - high at 10pm
CD 13 - peak at 7am
CD 13 - low at 11.30am

So some of us have rapid surges - blink and you miss it. If I'd have followed the OPK instructions to the letter and only tested between 1pm and 8pm, I would have completely missed the high and peak! I'm starting TTC again this month and have started DTD despite still being "low" on OPKs today (CD13) because I know I might just have missed the surge overnight. Plus I drink so much water, I'm convinced I dilute the tests!

Also, if you can, it's worth holding for 4 hours before testing (unless using FMU).

Good luck!

And @Msmith1234 - that looks like it's getting very close to a high! Just keeping testing I reckon. Good luck!

@Lowkeyloopy @Louisa199 I can finally post my picture! As you can see, the result on 14th April is clearly the strongest and it has been dropping ever since. (I have been testing daily since 7th April and all have been very low until 13th/14th April) I’ll keep testing but would I be right in thinking maybe my peak was more than likely around then?

@Lowkeyloopy I’m so sorry to hear of your miscarriage. Wishing you all the very best this month ❤️
