Hi I'm so confused!

I have just had a Positive OPK, my last period started on 2nd January so I'm on CD 46!

Am I just ovulating but not had a period this month or are they just faulty!?

What does this mean, I just want AF to arrive so we can try again!

Didnt want to read and run. Have you taken a pregnancy test? I've read on here that OPK tests can pick up pregnancy hormones? Sorry can't be more help

Sparkles512 · 14/02/2021 18:40

@Dinomama21 thank you!
Yes I took a test last Sunday BFN 😢

@Sparkles512 Maybe try a test tomorrow since you've had a positive OPK? If bfn, perhaps your ovulating very late, periods tend to be effected by stress or even conception vitamins apparently 🤷‍♀️. You can always contact your GP maybe? Sorry i feel like I'm no help at all, and im so sorry you're going through this all, it absolutely sucks to be stuck in limbo 😔

@Dinomama21 thank you so much.
I've e been taking vitamins for nearly 2 years now but not conception ones just iron, vit D, Calcium and folic acid.
I'm reluctant to contact the Dr's as I've always had painful periods and irregular bleeding and they have always told me it's something I have to deal with and not offered any help unfortunately.

I know, it seems pointless contacting the GP sometimes, I was convinced I had a chemical pregnancy last year, I ended up in A&E because of the pain and the bleeding- sorry TMI. They checked my urine and was like nope and sent me on my way. Contacted the GP the next day, didn't do any tests and just gave me tablets to help with pms and tablets to keep the bleeding lighter. I'm never in much pain with my periods and not really heavy-even after telling them this and saying something wasn't right. It feels like they sometimes think we are being over dramatic 🙈 i really hope everything sorts its self out for you ❤

@Dinomama21 oh I'm so sorry to hear this 😢

I have read that myo inositol can help regulate your cycles so I might order the Conceive plus ovulation supplements and see if they help?

@Sparkles512 Thank you, because it never was clarified I've not though much about it tbh, its only since MN I think I've put the two and two together, because I was adamant it was not normal, we know our own body dont we, but its one of those things where I will never know, which is absolutely fine. I've absolutely love discovering MN.

I'm hoping it will settle them for you, have you ever had this sort of think happen before? The longest cycle I've had is 33 days, I usually have a 26 day cycle, and I think that was due to stress in work and the pressure I put on myself TTC 🙈 so I have no experience to share really, and I'm new this months to tracking everything

emeraldcity2000 · 14/02/2021 20:07

If the opk was positive dtd... I presume this would be an unusually long cycle for you? Could you just have skipped a month?
Fwiw I had very irregular cycles but I always found the time between opk and af arriving spot on... good luck xxx

Update; my GP sent me for a blood test to check my progesterone levels.
They confirmed I have ovulated this month 😃

Don't want to get my hopes up but I am so relieved that I have ovulated.

I'm 10DPO not sure weather to test at day 14 or just wait for AF.
Although last months cycle was 22 day and the one before was 46 so I could be waiting a while for AF to show!
