so I am anywhere from 8 - 10 dpo (this is just going off cervical mucus I dont chart etc.) and took a one step strip test this morning. I completely forgot about it, so cant say for sure when this potential "line" came up. it's so faint I can barely get a picture of it but are these tests known for evaps?

or can I see your bfps/any evap line you got on them?

I am going to do a first response tomorrow morning so will keep updated but I'm curious!

thanks!

No.

And evaps are a myth.

The only time there will be any hint of a line is if you are secreting HCG.

(Those who’ve had lines that fade out have had chemical pregnancies.)

Congratulations 👏🏼

its definitely got darker as time has gone on. it still looks a bit shadow like to me but it definitley wasnt there when I took it out the pack.

that's interesting to know - I see so many things about evaps on here. maybe they are chemical pregnancies that sadly didnt stick if period turns up!

I have peed on hundreds and hundreds of sticks.

I’ve had a ruptured ectopic, a miscarriage, a chemical, a baby, and another a chemical, over six rounds of IUI and lots of IVF. I am, understandably, an early tester. What I have never had, funnily enough, is an evap Wink

the only time I've had anything on a test was a grey line a frer but the key difference was it was there before I actually took the test so was obviously an indent line. I think chemical pregnancies are sadly very common so it is entirely possible that all those who think they have an evap has gone on to be a chemical.

wow I'm sorry to hear of your losses! I had a miscarriage in 2018, was the worst thing :(

I will take a frer tomorrow, depends what time it turns up so guess I will know soon enough!

I’ve had a lot of evaps on the one step tests with the purple lids but not the little ones like you’ve posted. I actually complained about them as even my DH got a squinter : )

I also don’t think evaps photograph very well so yours look promising. Fingers crossed!

strawberrypip · 14/02/2021 15:55

ahh hopefully I'll be able to clear it up tomorrow with a frer either way, my eyes go funny looking at the test lol!

OP, I am having the same results and it's very frustrating.. Have you found out for sure now? I'd be grateful for your results as I am in the same situation x

Hey!! Iv always used one steps and before last month always go a stark white negative no evaps. But last night I got loads of evaps on them :( pretty convincing ones too. Turned out I definitely wasn’t pregnant. I hope this isn’t the case for you though. If it helps I can post some pics of mine from last month x

confusedoverhere1 · 28/02/2021 16:21

@Jesslyra123 are you sure it wasn't a chemical pregnancy?

@strawberrypip I can see something 🤞🏻🤞🏻

cherrybunx0 · 28/02/2021 16:46
