How long after peak opk do you ovulate?

Hey everyone! Woke up really disappointed this morning after checking bbt. After 10 days of flashing smiley faces I got a peak on Friday around 5pm, I was absolutely delighted. Yesterday morning I got a dip on my bbt so was thinking today I'd see a spike, only for it to be exactly the same as yesterday.

How long after your positive opk do you usually ovulate or see a spike? It's been about 40 hours since mine and while I had lots of ewcm I'm now totally disheartened 😔

I think where I was going wrong was having sex until my peak and not realising you can ovulate after. My ava bracelet gives me a tick for ovulation which I then noticed was 2/3 days after my positive opks.

The positive opk is detecting a LH surge which then leads to ovulation I believe so the peak doesn’t necessarily mean you are ovulating at that moment.

Thanks so much @Chica1990 I did some cheap opk strips today and had a blazing positive and ovulation pains so I think the clear blue opk just detected the very beginning of it!
