@CycloGoose Hey no I wasn't on birth control. My cycle is always around 27-29 days. I'm sure last my i OV on CD16. I'm just concerned but I over think all this!

CycloGoose · 26/02/2021 11:29

@Aims1991 if you're ovulating, it's a good sign. My doc wasn't even bothered that my cycle went from 28 day to 23 days. She just said 21-34 is 'normal' end of conversation stop worrying. Of course I'm still worrying - I suppose it's good practice for when we're mums and have children to worry about all the time xxx

Aims1991 · 26/02/2021 11:30

@CycloGoose Yeah that's very true. I've just read so much that says if you have a 28 day cycle and late ov then it's not good and other people say it's normal. Sometimes
You don't know what to believe. Fingers crossed🤞🏼

CycloGoose · 26/02/2021 11:42

A short luteal phase CAN signify some issues but not always and 12 days is perfectly fine. I think it's when they're less than 10 days but you may find you have a slightly longer cycle this month.

I think the stress of it all is freaking my body out and sending my cycles haywire.

I'd see what happens with your luteal phase this month and, if it's shorter than 12 days which sounds like your normal, get in touch with your GP and see what they say... Though prepare for them not being that helpful.

On another note, have any of you invested in OvuSense? It's so pricey but I feel it would take some stress out of using OPKs and trying to track my bbt.
At the moment, I'm setting a silent alarm on my Garmin watch, trying to my bbt and then waking DH up to DTD 🤦
No sign of a peak in LH this month yet but I've had the sodding smiley face for 8 sodding days now. Last cycle I had 2 days blank then straight to peak. Doing my head in. Also considering switching from CB digital dual (purple) to Femometer Ivy - anyone tried that?

Aims1991 · 26/02/2021 18:38

@CycloGoose Yeah I will monitor when my AF arrives and check the amount of days.
I use one step dip tests I seem to prefer them to CB! I have a few days of a very faint line then a few days of nothing and then today both lines identical. So I will see what tomorrow is like. Planning on DTD everyday till Monday 😂 OH just laughed.
I'm so busy with work just now I'm hoping that work takes my mind of it 🤷🏻‍♀️

MIW01 · 27/02/2021 11:42

Hello everyone. I'm on CD13 today and got a solid smiley face after a few days of flashing smiley amd it looks like the one step line got slightly darker this morning! I will test again this afternoon too.

I got contacted by the specialist GP surgery and got asked for an AMH blood test to check ovarian reserve so I did that yesterday. Hopefully it's OK and we can move forward with plans for fertility treatment. I've got Accupuncture booked in March to try and help.

thislittlebird · 27/02/2021 12:55

That’s great! @MIW01 I’m going for my second acupuncture in March, let me know how you get on. Have they done/planning to do a follicle scan as well as AMH?

Finally got our referral through, it’s not until May 17 Hmm. I won’t lie, considering the months and months of delay is their fault because they incorrectly told us our results were fine, I’m not overly thrilled.

yeahwhynot · 01/03/2021 10:23

@thislittlebird thanks, yes, the ball has started rolling. A series of blood tests (CD2-5, CD21), smears and an SA test for the partner has been scheduled. So, once they come back, hopefully, I will get the process moving ahead. Great news about your referral letter! Yay!! Do you have an idea of how long the wait for the appointments are where you live?

@XjustagirlX I feel you! We never seem to notice the stress effect since it is all one long dull gradual transition. But, as you said, once I started the ball rolling with my GP for sub fertility referral and had accepted the fact that natural conception was beyond my realm, I can clearly see the difference it has made to my mental health.

@Aims1991 Hello! I am not an expert on this. But I have heard that your cycle can occasionally be longer than usual if there were sudden changes in lifestyle (food, exercise, sleep changes, timezone changes, stress, etc.). This is normal and nothing to worry about if it is occasional AFAIK.

@whatsthecraic91 oh sounds wonderful! So hoping for many more posts like these on this thread! This is the positivity we all need xx

yeahwhynot · 01/03/2021 10:39

@CycloGoose Hello! Nope, haven't tried Ovusense, but definitely sounds like a dream from what's advertised.

@MIW01 Great news! Hope your AMH comes back okay!

@thislittlebird Sorry just reading your latest message. Oh, May 17 is a bit of a wait! My GP also warned me that I might be looking at months' of waiting before my first appointment!

I just finished my CD2-5 blood test, hope it comes back okay. Waiting for a couple more weeks before CD21 blood test. Have been nagging OH to get his SA done before then, so I can get on with referral.

Annny27 · 01/03/2021 15:38

Been so bad at keeping up with threads! It gets a bit overwhelming when so much to read and catch up on so I will just try and be better going forward!

OP posts:
Annny27 · 01/03/2021 15:39

@MIW01 I am going to do my amh this week as well!

OP posts:
Aims1991 · 01/03/2021 18:59

@yeahwhynot It's all such a headache🙄 fingers crossed for good news in next few weeks

thislittlebird · 01/03/2021 21:50

Keep us posted on your AMH, fingers crossed!

@yeahwhynot yeah, may 17 isn’t great, but someone else on another thread had hers moved forward so I can only hope someone else gets preggers and I get moved up the list (or I get preggers but that seems less likely lol)

Annny27 · 02/03/2021 11:37

@thislittlebird what appointment are you waiting for?

I am ovulating atm haven't managed to dtd much this month :/ but we will still be hopeful!

@kiza did you have your scan? ❤

OP posts:
thislittlebird · 02/03/2021 15:35

I’m waiting for the gynaecologist referral appointment @Annny27, feels like ages away

Lozzlepop · 02/03/2021 17:06

Hey hey!!

Sorry I have dipped out of the chat again! Been a bit of a mental week- started my new job on Monday last week and postponed our wedding on the Tuesday lol 🙈

@Annny27 I am booked in for my AMH in April, the Clomid was offered to try and increase my progesterone levels (although she told me they were fine) but was also offered progesterone pessaries but only after getting pregnant! Just feel like I'm getting told conflicting info all the time!

How is everyone else doing? A big welcome to all the new ladies, quite a lot of new names ☺️

@Kiza how are you getting along?

@orangeloo @XjustagirlX how are you ladies doing?

XjustagirlX · 02/03/2021 17:25

@Lozzlepop I’ve got my hysteroscopy tomorrow morning. I’m absolutely terrified. My nk cells biopsy hurt so much that I’m so worried about the pain. I’ve got codeine off my gp to hopefully make it better. Apparently gas and air won’t be available ‘coz covid’. At the appointment I’m going to ask to be put on the ivf list now so we can get the process started.

I’ve finally got my recurrent miscarriage appointment. It’s booked for 30th March for a booking in call and then I go and get my bloods the next day.

By May I should hopefully have my recurrent miscarriage results and my nk results.

Unless there is a good medical reason to not TTC after I do my rmu tests we are just going to start trying straight away. I’m not missing anymore cycles. And I don’t want to wait for the results before trying again.

Lozzlepop · 03/03/2021 11:30

@XjustagirlX good luck for today, I hope your appointment goes well and its not too uncomfortable ❤️

Annny27 · 06/03/2021 10:35

Morning ladies 🥰 around 4dpo now so a bit of an early ovulation at cd13 for me!

@lozzlepop that's interesting I didnt know clomid could be used for that! I am having my AMH test on monday! Bit nervous for it 🥴

@XjustagirlX how did the procedure go?

@thislittlebird some of the waiting times are ridiculous arent they!!

Hows everyone else doing @MIW01 @orangeloo @lottiepink @Kiza

OP posts:
thislittlebird · 06/03/2021 12:14

Oh no when did you postpone to @Lozzlepop? We had to change ours twice last year and ended up doing it in October in the end.

Can I ask what your progesterone was? Mine was 10 last time round so I’m really hoping they’ll offer me clomid. I’m assuming this was nhs?

I had an early day 14 ovulation this month (if I ovulated at all Confused) @Annny27, so I’m expecting AF the next few days, I’m 10 dpo.

Kiza · 07/03/2021 12:40

@Annny27 sorry I've been a bit MIA, tiredness kicks in strong after work and am going to bed around 8pm most nights!
Scan was wonderful, even though eggsy was a blob just seeing the umbilical cord and heart beat was amazing. We've booked a private scan for Mother's Day so DP can come along. Have had my midwife appointment and routine bloods and all looking great 🤞🏼🤞🏼💓

@MIW01 @Annny27 good news that you're getting your Amh done soon, although don't be disheartened if it's low as mine was but still managed to get a good egg!

@yeahwhynot my DP also had low morphology on both his SA, he took a mixture of zinc, lycopene, vitamin e. It didn't improve his morphology but doubled his count and motility to incredibly high levels so could be worth it?

MIW01 · 09/03/2021 12:42

So the NHS has cooked up again! Apparently the Dr who referred me for AMH - her approvals haven't gone through the CCG so it got rejected. I need to wait until the GP surgery contacts me to say her approval has gone through and then go for my AMH test. This really is a piss take!!! Hope you had better luck @Annny27?

@thislittlebird nothing said about another scan atm

Thanks for reassurance @Kiza but apparently if it's too low I won't qualify for NHS funding!

Good luck @XjustagirlX and @Lozzlepop

Amy259 · 09/03/2021 16:13

Hi ladies, do you mind if I join in?

I’m 30, 3dpo into cycle 8 TTC #1. Feel like over the last 8 months I’ve read/googled more than my brain can handle - how do you switch off?! Always stressing about something, waiting for something, over thinking everything. DH starting to struggle a bit now with performing when he knows it counts too, which isn’t helping the overall stress levels!

Reading this thread has been very comforting. Been in a couple of threads (dip in and out of MN) now but moving on from early ttc threads to feel a bit less lonely on this journey the longer it’s taking. I’ve had day21 bloods and all seems fine there, and DH has SA pot awaiting him.

Hope you’re all having a good Tuesday x

XjustagirlX · 09/03/2021 16:32

So my hysteroscopy was really painful as I expected. I was so terrified of the pain I asked my gp for high strength codeine. It still really hurt though. He said that every looked ok on camera and there were no cysts or anything. He said the biopsy will take a couple of weeks to come back.

Annoyingly he said I should have a follow up appointment in 6 weeks where I do the ivf firms. The letter cane through and it’s 3 months away!

I’ve got my recurrent miscarriage tests in 3 weeks too.

Annny27 · 10/03/2021 11:33

That's soooo frustrating @MIW01 honestly it's like they do it on purpose:(

Did they reschedule for you??

I had my AMH results back - 41 pmol/l :D so very normal for my age which i am happy about! Still not pregnant so if my eggs could start acting like they are there that would be good 😂

@XjustagirlX lots happening for you over the next few month then! Was it like a crampy pain?

@kiza absolutely amazing I am so glad you had a good scan! Can you show us your scan photo on Sunday- I would LOVE to see :)

@amy259 welcome lovely - I have to br honest I think about ttc all day every day! It's so hard not to when it's all that you want!

@thislittlebird any AF sign?
