LOW HCG - HIGH PROGESTERONE

Hey girls,

So I have a question. I have been for a blood test to detect early pregnancy or not.

Anyway I will cut all the boring stuff out LOL.

So the Dr has rang me back and requested I go in for bloods again on Sunday. She said my HCG was low but my progesterone is high?

My results were:
HCG : 8
PROGESTERONE: 50

Is this bad? Good? I'm not sure. Please help lol

I'm no expert but I would hazard a guess that you're sooner after ovulation than perhaps you expected. Progesterone is high after ovulation and then drops off and you either bleed or hcg starts rising if you are pregnant.

According to my app I am 10 dpo? I have a 2nd blood test booked for Sunday to see if my levels have gone up. But I just dont understand why my progesterone is so high. I will keep you updated and thank you for replying:)

Are you tracking ovulation? The apps aren't necessarily accurate.

Not really. I had a miscarriage last month, but confirmed by GP after that it was all negative and ok to TTC. I have had a few faint lines (hence the scan today) the lady said my uterus looks ready for pregnancy but she couldnt see anything (thinks I'm really really early). She took my blood and said my HCG IS 8(Low but what she would expect for a very early pregnancy). AND MY PROGESTERONE IS 50 (it would stay high if pregnant). Well I have just taken a test (I'm impatient) and have got another faint positive within 2 minutes this time. Also I have taken 3 tests since yesterday that show very faint lines. She told me to keep testing and see if my lines start to get darker.

@Ramyxx How did this turn out for you? My hcg is 21 at equivilent of 4+1 and having repeat bloods in few days
