Hi all

I had my peak of my OPKs (I think!! As first time) on the 5th, and ever since then have had mega sore boobs! I’ve never had this before that I can remember but not sure if it’s just because I’ve never really tracked ovulation properly so not put 2 + 2 together. Does anyone else get this? xx

Me! My boobs and nipples are so sore and ‘full’ when i ovulate and it lasts for a few days. I’d never noticed before I started tracking my cycles, but it’s a welcome symptom to know that I am ovulating for sure!

I’d always assumed sore boobs and nipples would mean you’re about to come on your period, or are on your period. It’s only when you come to track cycles and start TTC that you realise what weird and wonderful things your body does!

After ovulation, your progesterone levels rise. This is causing your body temperature to increase slightly and a whole lot of symptoms including: sore breasts, bloating, cramps, headaches, nausea, irritability. Progesterone keeps rising until a few days before your period when it drops, unless you have conceived, in which case it keeps increasing.
