I’m not actively trying but had a slip up with dh a couple of weeks ago, where we dtd and I noticed fertile cm a few days afterwards.

7 days after noticing the fertile cm I started spotting. It started off a creamy pink and finally ended 7 days later, it went really dark brown but at no point did I actively bleed or even need to wear a panty liner.

I’m now 2 days late for my period, I’ve taken some wondfos and they’re negative.

Has anyone been through this before?

I have 2 children and spotted like I just did but I don’t remember how long for and I got my bfps without having this time of confusion.

I’ve lost 7lbs in the last 4 weeks so I’m wondering if this has meddled with my cycle?

Hi Op! Its hard to say either way as you can't be sure when you ovulated. If you're late for your period and had sex about 2 weeks ago then you are roughly 14dpo, but you would likely show positive on a test by now if you were indeed pregnant.

Its possible you have ovulated later than expected, which is quite normal (not sure of weight loss can cause it??) And so you are not yet late for AF.

Get a frer, I've read a lot about false answers from them tests x

I’ve taken about 8 of them, still worth a go trying something else?

Probably a stupid question, but the 7 days of spotting wasn't a very light, early period was it? Probably if I were you I'd wait until the weekend and then re-test just in case you ovulated late. By then a pregnancy test should hopefully work or your period will have arrived. Best of luck whatever happens.

Ah it’s not a stupid question at all. I suffer from really heavy periods and I didn’t even need to wear a panty liner for the spotting so I’m really doubtful that’s what happened
