Do I have a chance still?

I know the real answer is "wait and see", but I'm wondering if anyone has has had a faintly positive test on for example, day 12 and 13dpo, had some very light brown discharge on 13dpo, and still had an actual pregnancy? Or is the spotting just the precursor to a full on period? (I sonetimes spot before, but not always). This is the first positive test I've had since ttc and I'm 6 months in. I'm obviously really hoping the spotting is nothing, but think I may be fooling myself.

I had this two months ago and it was a chemical pregnancy. I’m now six weeks pregnant tho, and didn’t have any spotting this month.

@nightmanagerfan thank you for replying, I'll keep my expectations low for this one. I'm glad to hear you got your proper positive, best of luck to you x

Ok just in case anybody else reads this and is having the same experience I was having, I still seem to be pregnant! The cramping and spotting was apparently fairly normal, and I'm now at 5 weeks. Fingers crossed it all carries on well.

Ah great update!

And yes for future readers, implantation spotting can actually continue until something ridiculous like 8 weeks which is why it's so common to have spotting in your first trimester :)
