@ForGoodnessCake sorry for your loss 😔

I had a miscarriage in November at 7 weeks, and I’m pregnant again now. It’s very early days and I’m nervous, but have an early scan booked to hopefully confirm things are ok. Hopefully this pregnancy is successful!

I’m on Clomid, but I’ve read that fertility is higher after miscarriage too .. hope you get your BFP! 🙂

Emmav2020 · 04/02/2021 21:27

@ForGoodnessCake heyy sorry for your loss, im in the same boat. Told 27th dec no heartbeat, started bleeding 9th jan for 2 days. Had scan 12th and everything out and looked back to normal. Been doing the deed since the 15th jan. I had no idea when i was due to ovulate or have a period.
I hope you get a bfp soon.

@HT1507 aww congrats. Did you take anyother supplements? X

Thinkingahead8 · 04/02/2021 21:44

Sorry for your loss @ForGoodnessCake Flowers

I’ve recently had a bfp after an Xmas miscarriage. Early days but I’ve had bloods to see if hcg is rising (and just to make sure it’s not positive still from before) and they’ve booked me in for an early scan, again just to make sure it is 100% a new and viable pregnancy.

dippyegg32 · 04/02/2021 22:03

Hi all. I had surgical management of mmc on 7th December. I've had one period since and am now cd13 which is my ovulation day. I actually have a follow up appt at the epu on 18th Feb so I'm going to hold off testing until I go.

HT1507 · 04/02/2021 23:35

@Emmav2020 thank you Smile

I’m taking Inofolic (I have PCOS), vitamin B complex, vitamin C & D, iron. I also made the decision to take low dose Aspirin (75mg) because of the pregnancy loss.

I would recommend doing your own research into low dose Aspirin because it seems that some doctors recommend it and some don’t, and there’s contradictory information online regarding when to start taking it.

HT1507 · 05/02/2021 00:11

FYI with regards to the low dose Aspirin ..

I decided after the miscarriage to start taking it as I’d read that it improves blood flow to the uterus and can aid fertility .. since then I’ve seen forum posts from women saying they were advised to take it when they get a BFP. I’ve seen somewhere that it can affect implantation which contradicts other sources that say it can be taken whilst TTC. In general though, it seems to be recommended to women who have had previous miscarriages.

I had a consultation with my specialist yesterday and told him I’d conceived, and he did suggest low dose Aspirin due to the previous loss .. so it’s something I would have started to take anyway if I hadn’t looked into it beforehand.

Wishing everyone luck getting your BFPs! Smile

Hi, I had a MC in December. I did OPK and now in TWW but I haven't had a period since before the MC so I'm doubtful this month is our month.

Did you have a period if you don't mind me asking? It's just, with my previous pregnancies I got pregnant with a positive OPK straight away and I'm now wondering, if I am lucky enough to get pregnant again, when the midwives ask when my last period was do I count the MC as a period otherwise I'll have to put down August and they will wonder why I'm only telling them now. Probably nothing for me to worry about but it's strange the things that come to mind when TTC.

Sorry for no positive stories and the thread hijacking but I hope you get a BPF in the next week or so!

HT1507 · 05/02/2021 00:30

@surfingwolf I had a period about 6 weeks after the miscarriage and conceived again on that cycle. If you fall pregnant between the miscarriage and your next period, it would make the pregnancy harder to date, unless you know when you ovulated, but I’m sure I read that it would initially be dated based on when you miscarried.

surfingwolf · 05/02/2021 00:46

@HT1507 thank you that's good to know. I know approximately (within a day or so) when I ovulated but when i had the MC the pregnancy was showing as 2 weeks behind and they dismissed me when I said it wasn't possible due to OPK (and also BFP but they wasn't interested in that either) so I had a 2 week wait before they would even talk about the possibility of a MC.

Sorry OP, I'm just ranting now.

ForGoodnessCake · 05/02/2021 01:10

Aww wow

Hey 👋

I had a MC at 10 weeks the beginning of December, since had a period and now on the road to my second one, or BFP.

I came to bed at 830 - I was super tired - but here I am wide awake 🤣

MC was my 4th pregnancy - 9 years gap from my littlest now, maybe more aware that I'm 33 now and it's all a worry 😩

OP posts:
surfingwolf · 05/02/2021 01:38

Oooh is wide awakeness a symptom? I guess anything is a symptom in the TWW if you want it to be Grin

I had my first at 32 so 33 is a youngster in my eyes. Now waiting to see if we are lucky enough with a second. Tbh I think we will be happy either way but I wish there was someone to say "don't waste your time it will never happen" or "yes crack on"

surfingwolf · 05/02/2021 01:39

Actually my first was at 33. I forgot how old I was Blush

dippyegg32 · 05/02/2021 05:30

@ForGoodnessCake I recognise your name, think we may have been in the July group together. If so I'm sorry about your mc, crap isn't it? Hope this is our month.

HT1507 · 05/02/2021 07:44

@surfingwolf I think maybe a lot of women get their ovulation date wrong which might be why they were dismissive when you mentioned it 🤷‍♀️ Not nice for you to feel like you’re not being listened to though!!

I’m 99% sure I ovulated on CD17 in January .. I’ve been tracking my BBT which put it on that day, and also I was very aware of cramping leading up to CD17, with it being more intense on that day. I had a positive OPK on CD17 too, so I think I ovulated pretty quickly after that result, rather than up to 36 hours which I thought was the norm.

I’m 33 in April, and this will be the first baby for us. We had hoped to have 2 by the time we were 30 .. clearly hasn’t worked out that way, but I finally got Clomid and am lucky it’s making me ovulate. Just need this pregnancy to be successful now!!

ForGoodnessCake · 05/02/2021 09:06

Aww @dippyegg32

It's so shit to see you haha (here)!! Yes it's me!!
We were indeed - I didn't stay around long after MC it made it all a little more real. I hope you are well ❤️

Do you know how naive I felt about MC - actually a bit embarrassed that I genuinely didn't know what it was like, but I suppose it's something that you'll never truly know until it happens to you!

My eldest turned 14 this week and my Daughter is 11, and my wee boy is 9 - they went through it all with us so are waiting on tender hooks for baby news - I hope it happens quick for us all!!

@HT1507 sounds like you taking what i am as well but ive bought some aspirin but not taken yet because of everything ive been reading. this is my 2nd MC in 2 years. I have a DS whos 11. im leaning more to take it but should i take now or when i get a BFP??

At the min ive not had AF, no idea when ovulation was, i could have had implantation for all i know, stopped MC bleeding on 12th jan. Anyone any idea when i should do a test?
xx

HT1507 · 05/02/2021 09:51

@Emmav2020 I think when to take the Aspirin is a personal decision for you based on the information you’ve got .. I wouldn’t want to say when to take it as I’ve seen differing opinions. Maybe speak to your GP and see what they say?

I’ve been taking it since December I think, based on the good things I’d read about increasing blood flow to the uterus and helping women to fall pregnant, but in the last week or so I’ve found information saying it could have an impact on implantation, which then made me start to worry .. although I’m past the implantation stage anyway.

I’ve found myself getting rather obsessive about researching things, what I could or should be taking, what I should or shouldn’t be doing, like most women I imagine .. we all just want to do what’s best for the pregnancy.

Emmav2020 · 05/02/2021 10:21

@HT1507 You could literally drive yourself mad with all the research couldn't you.

So friends cousin had 3 MC last year and got pregnant for the 4th time and now 14 weeks pregnant and everything perfect so far. Ive been messaging her as i known her for years and she did a lot of research into aspirin and she started taking it between her 3rd MC and her pregnancy now. when she went her first docs appt with this pregnancy and told the doctors they were happy she has been taking it even before she got a BFP. x

dippyegg32 · 05/02/2021 10:26

@ForGoodnessCake yes same I left the group the second I found out about the mmc but what an absolutely brilliant bunch of girls on there! It was my first mc and it threw me so much. Fingers crossed we'll be in a new group together soon! Yes my girls are 10 and 6, I'd love to give them a little brother or sister.

I've literally had so much sex this week I'm sore 😂

ForGoodnessCake · 05/02/2021 13:03

@dippyegg32 I know right and the BFP just rolled out one after another, hope we get that again, I've already started my POAS obsession - let the line eyes commence hahaha.

I actually POA FRER today - abso-fucking-lutely bonkers hahaha 🤣

ForGoodnessCake · 05/02/2021 17:29

Ive not been on here that much. Ive still had no period since mc bleeding on the 9th jan. Would you test some point this week?? Last week i had twinges for 2 days.

Also ive had sharp pains today in my vagina area, anyone know what this could be? Xx

ForGoodnessCake · 11/02/2021 13:32

Hi @Emmav2020 I was 6 weeks before my period came and now I'm 3 days away from my second.
I'm driving myself crazy I took a CB this morning and I was sure it was a line then I done a FR and negative!!! Frustrating

I got my BFP super early last time and I'm sure about 9-10dpo last pregnancies.

I think I'm 11dpo now.
