Hey,

So I am coming off the pill at the end of the month before ttc our first so just looking to see if anyone has any advice on what I can do to prepare myself for the ttc journey :)
Absolutely could not be pregnant before March, hence why not coming off the pill in preperation so just going to have to hope my cycles come back quickly 🤞
I'm going to start taking vitamins & folic acid, anything else I can do?
Anyone else here who is about to start ttc? Would be nice to meet other people who are going to be trying around the same time as me!

Hi! Me and my Husband are also TTC in March for our first. I'm very excited.. my husband keeps telling me to calm down Grin. I've just started taking the vitamins, I was going to buy them all individually, but opted for the single pregnancy supplement pills instead and seem to have saved a lot of money.

@ZKing which pulls are you taking? I haven't bought any yet, going to get some at the weekend when we go shopping.

I'm super excited to start too, my husband seems to think it's just it will just happen straight away, no matter how many times I tell him it's not that simple 😂😂

I use the Glow app to track my cycles, it’s really useful 😊 good luck!

@JessMary94 I was in Superdrug when I spotted them, so opted for Superdrug's own. I had that box and the Pregnacare box next to each other and couldn't see any real difference except for the price. I would assume that's the same for all of the own brand ones really.

Haha! Mine's the opposite and keeps trying to bring me back down to Earth with it all. He even said that we don't need to worry about getting a pregnancy test until April or May anyway, because we won't get pregnant straight away... Cheers Hun 😂

I've been reading away at What to Expect When you're expecting just in case though.

@Cafeaulait27 Thankyou ill have a look at that!!

@ZKing OK thankyou!! My dh is absolutely adamant it will happen as soon as we start trying cause he has 'excellent stuff' 🙈 🤦‍♀️
I've been doing bits of research and stuff but trying to hold off till we actually start trying because I don't want to get too obsessed with it all. We're gonna try let it happen naturally before we start tracking stuff etc xx

@Jessmary94 it would be good for your partner to take vitamins too - Wellman is good but any men’s health vitamin helps. Zinc is the most important one for men.

A lot of men think they have great swimmers but actually male fertility has reduced by something like 40% in the last 50 years so it’s really important that he does whatever he can too.

My husband always thought he had strong sperm, but he had to have it tested when I got referred last year (due to my periods not coming back after coming off the pill) and he actually had a low sperm count.

He now takes men’s health vitamins and it had improved when it was checked again xxx

He takes vitamins anyway so should all ok on his side 🤞xx
