I've heard lots of horror stories about rigevedon I'm glad I've stopped it tbh. Even without TTC.. i was on microgynon then drs switched to rigevedon i thought nothing if it.. ive not had half as many migraine since stopping it which is a plus too. But has anyone actually conceived??

Yes - not me but a lady on the thread I'm on (Post Pill - check it out and join us if you can!) came off it in Oct last year I think and just got her BFP. Like you I think she'd been on micrgynon beforehand as well

Me - Came off in early November, started TTC late December, BFP last week. Praying for a sticky, healthy baby!

Not sure what horror stories you’ve heard? It always worked well enough for me although I noticed my PMS wasn’t so bad when I came off. Pills are very much an individual thing; What works for one, will not necessarily work for another.

@Juno231 thanks ill try and find it
@PippityChippity congratulations 👏 💖 and yes I've heard people want it banned, loads of articles about it just by typing in Google and for various reasons, blood clots, depression, migraines, cysts, lack of or no ovulation resuming after stopping it.. I must admit I had absolutely terrible migraines couldn't figure out why touch wood not had one since stopping it. I was fine on mycrogynon

Yes, I was on it and conceived 8 months after stopping. I then had a mmc and conceived again 8 months after. Now have a 20 week old.

Hopingformydb · 03/02/2021 15:51

@Chanel05 congratulations also sorry to hear about your mmc but yay for the new baby ❤

@Hopingformydb Thank you! That’s really interesting, I didn’t realise that it had been problematic for some! It’s good that your migraines have eased since coming off of it. I would say to try not to worry too much; It comes out of your system almost instantly when you take it, although it can take time for cycles to regulate. Wishing you the best of luck with TTC!

@pippitychippity thank you fingers crossed it doesn't take ages 🙈🤞 I stopped it in dec ive already had withdrawal bleed and then AF arrived 28 days later currently on CD17 so we shall see i don't think I've ovulated though. Good luck with the pregnancy xx

Me!
I was on microgynon for about 16 years, then dr switched it to rigevidon which I was on for a good few years. I came off it in September 2019 and got my bfp in November 2019. Unfortunately that ended in a miscarriage. But then I went on to get 3 more bfp’s, sadly all ending in miscarriage.
But currently pregnant again now and things are going better.

Good luck x

Hopingformydb · 03/02/2021 16:46

@Moominmiss aww really sorry to hear all that you poor woman. But glad you're pregnant now best of luck hope you have a healthy baby ❤❤ but initially it didn't take you long then to conceive post pill? Thats what I've been worried about with rigevedon based on the stories I've heard. When I had my DD I was on mycrogynin and it took about 5 cycles so couldn't really compare as its a different brand

@Hopingformydb nope, for me rigevidon didn’t seem to have any impact on how quickly I’d conceived.

With 2 cycles off it I got my bfp. I’d not even heard it could cause any issues!
