Hi,

So sorry to read, sending love!

Not sure if this is of any help, but conceive plus ovulation support got my cycles back on track from 66 days down to 30 days - I'm not sure if it will help but may be worth a try.

Best of luck x

So sorry to hear this, it must be really frustrating. Did they give you any feedback from the tests as to why you're not ovulating? If not i would ask more questions and that will be your starting point for addressing the cause. There are loads of books available such as 'Fix your period' by Nicole Jardim which might help you understand what's going on and it might help you find a way forward.

Good luck 🤞 x

I had a MC and diagnosed with underactive thyroid (unexpected I am not overweight) and I think that has sent things haywire 😔 thyroid is under control now thought xx
Cycles are short not long

Sensitive question but, how much do you weigh? Or rather, what is your BMI? I wasn't (don't generally) ovulating, lost three stone, and got a positive OPK last week. Going to see how this cycle plays out and then try soy isoflavones next one I think.

I'm also taking coQ10, vitamin e, b6 and b12 for egg quality (amongst other things.) Have you tried myo-inositol?

I would also be pushing for further investigation. If you know it's just an ovulation issue then is it a possibility for you to pay for a private consultation with a fertility specialist to be put on clomid?

Hi, there was no link x

queenqueenqueen · 03/02/2021 16:59

@alexaplaywhitenoise
I'm sure i could lose weight but definitely not classed as obese ....

VenusStarr · 03/02/2021 17:33

How short are your cycles? I tend to ovulate on cd10/11 and af is usually on cd24/25, so when I had my progesterone level tested I went on cd19 instead of cd21. Just wondering if you were tested at the right time?
Have you tried acupuncture? I think that sorted my cycle out after I came off the pill.
I guess the alternative might be going private to see if you can get letrozole or clomid - was your first child concieved with clomid?

I'm sorry for your loss, I've had 4 now ❤️ tracking my cycle has helped pinpoint ovulation. Did you use anything to help you concieve that pregnancy (if not, sounds like you do ovulate, but maybe not every month?) X

I had unexplained infertility for 3 years when trying to conceive my first. Started reflexology and major vit and mineral supplementation and fell pregnant. Maybe worth a try. best wishes

I was a bmi of 30 and am now a 25. I'm aiming to shift another half a stone but my friend is an obs/gynae doc and she said even a 5% weight loss can kick start your ovaries and regulate your cycle. I'm interested to see if I ovulate again next cycle now I'm levelling out.

queenqueenqueen · 04/02/2021 20:15

@colouringindoors ... I have heard others mention reflexology how many treatments did you have x

colouringindoors · 04/02/2021 23:58

gosh, it was a while ago. 17 years! probably every fortnight for at least several months. Have heard of other women who it's helped, prob worth finding someone who has a fertility focus.

Waiting2BAMummy · 05/02/2021 00:19

Hi @supermario10 not sure if you have heard of soy isoflavones but they are dubbed natures clomid. You take them the same days you would clomid but you need to take double the dose as it’s only half the strength. The starting dose for clomid is 50mg per day so you would need to take 100mg of soy. Most ladies take them on either days 2-6 or 3-7 of their cycle though from the threads of read it seems most women are successful when taking them 2-6.

I get mine from Tesco they’re in the vitamins section for n a purple pot. They are 40mg per tablet so you would have to either start with 80mg or 120mg. Some ladies seem to increase their doses during their cycle e.g. days 2,3 & 4 - 80mg days 5 & 6 120mg but I just take the same dose for the entire time. I took 120 for 2 months and it did nothing for me so I’m now taking 200mg but that’s not to say the lower dose won’t work for you so you should always try the lower dose first.

I’m obviously not a doctor and it’s worth doing your own research but from what I read it was worth a try, at least for me.

queenqueenqueen · 05/02/2021 12:59

Great, thats really useful thanks
I mean my cycles are still kinda haywire but will definitely look into this .... I'm taking angus castus at the mo ... I do think its done something as my periods are heavier since taking it?!?! Do you think I should stop taking that if I go for soy?

queenqueenqueen · 07/02/2021 08:11

@waiting2bamummy xx

queenqueenqueen · 07/02/2021 08:12

@alexaplaywhitenoise ... well definitely worth a try then!! Thanks

Porridgeoat · 07/02/2021 08:14

Pay privately to get a covid prescription.

Or Ask to be referred on to a fertility specialist on the nhs. You should be able to get clomid through the specialist

Incrediblytired · 07/02/2021 08:15

Can I ask how old you are?

Waiting2BAMummy · 07/02/2021 10:44

Yes @queenqueenqueen, sorry only just seen this, you would need to stop taking the agnus castus if you are going to take soy, you cannot take both.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Good luck

queenqueenqueen · 18/02/2021 23:19

@waiting2bamummy do you have any news? I took soy this month but not holding out much hope 😔

supermario10 · 21/04/2021 17:39

Bump x
