Could I be pregnant?

Could I be pregnant.

I am 3 days late for my period, I bought the pregnancy sticks and most of them come back with a faint positive line.
As me and my husband have been trying for a second child for 11 months now, I decided to take a clear blue digital pregnancy test. It came out as Not pregnant, it says that we can test a few days before period date but now I’m 3 days late.
My question is could I be pregnant? I don’t want to get my hopes up but I just really don’t know what to do.
I also took the “Freedom” pregnancy test and that one was negative.
Has this happened to anyone? and also my periods are regular but I have lower back pain.

I can definitely see a line! Have you done one first thing in the morning?

Hafla · 03/02/2021 13:01

Yes, that one was taken first thing this morning (and three others) all were ver very faint. Then I did a clear blue digital and it said “Not pregnant”

I see the line! Clear blue digitals are not as sensitive as other tests from what I've heard. FRER are the most sensitive so maybe try one of them? Xxx

Hey, thanks for your comment.
By FRER do you mean First Response?

@Hafla sorry yes, first response early results. They're the most sensitive and can tell you up to 5 days before you miss a period I believe. Digitals aren't as sensitive and ca take longer to defect the hormone in your urine xxx

Thank you! I will have a look for them tomorrow

When you repeatedly test make sure you use the same urine, ideally first thing in the morning, and the same type of test as they all have different thresholds.

You could for example stick with One Steps used with first morning wee.

Then test every couple of days - in early pregnancy the hormone noticeably goes up every 48 hours. those lines should therefore get stronger.

I take birth control and I am on my sugar pill week right now. I got a brown discharge with red blood for 2 days, happened days 4 and 5 of my sugar pills. Is that withdrawl bleeding?

TheDaydreamBelievers · 04/02/2021 07:29

@crissy22 which pills? Sounds like it yes. On microgynon/Rigevidon you get that every month

crissy22 · 04/02/2021 15:23

@TheDaydreamBelievers junel fe 1/20

TheDaydreamBelievers · 04/02/2021 15:29

@crissy22 I don't know that medication. Did your Dr say you would get a bleed each month? If yes, Then on the sugar pills is when that would happen. If not, go back to the Dr. However, I can see online that Junel gives lots of people random timed spotting or bleeding (up to 40% in one study)

crissy22 · 04/02/2021 16:28

@TheDaydreamBelievers Yes they said it was normal but I am afraid of pregnancy and thought maybe this was implantation. I am unsure if that wouls be too late for that?

TheDaydreamBelievers · 04/02/2021 16:32

@crissy22 it sounds like just the monthly withdrawal bleed to me. If youve been taking your pills properly then its v v unlikely to be pregnancy. If youre really worried you could always take a pregnancy test in 2 weeks to check (but that isnt really neceessary)

crissy22 · 04/02/2021 16:42

@TheDaydreamBelievers I took a test this morning (last day of sugar pills, came back negative) I have been have sore underarms though and it spread towards my breast a little so it is making me nervous. I don't know what else could cause this.
