I'm after some comfort and advice please ladies!

So my cycles have been pretty irregular for a while, since I had my son tbh nearly 3 years ago. We decided to try again properly from this month for our second. I bought some ovulation tests and every one I have taken since my period ended has been negative. I thought I felt ovulation signs two weeks ago even tho tests were negative. However today I have finally got my smiley face! We DTD last night and will for the next few, we try to be every other day anyway. But this is day 28 of my cycle. This cant be good right? Any one any experience or advice here? I'm overjoyed to finally see a positive ovulation test but now I'm driving myself round the bend worrying that there's actually a problem.
Much appreciated gals!!!

Hi @MrsWilk10 I can’t offer much advice but thought I would drop you a message because I also ovulated later than I thought I would. This is our first month TTC so I don’t have much insight 🙈

I felt exactly the same- so happy to finally see a positive but then I got myself all stressed because it’s considered “late ovulation”. I ovulated (I think) on CD22.

I have been doing ALOT of reading online about this and it seems ovulating late (later than CD21 onwards) isn’t necessarily an issue and people do conceive. The issue is when the luteal phase is less than 10 days. So if you did ovulate on CD28 and your period arrived CD35 then the luteal phase would be too short for the egg to implant properly (I think).

How long are your cycles?

Hi op

Not sure i can add much but i have pcos and got my first smiley face today after about 5 months so felt elated i don't have any idea about my cycle length as periods are so irregular. We are trying to concieve baby number2 i didn't struggle to get pregnant the first time round but this time it already feels emotionally draining. This month i have also started to take a fertility supplement so hopefully its doing something. Hope we can all get positive results we crave

I have also read as pp said as long as luteal phase is 10 days or more there is chance for viable implantation and pregnancy.
