Extra scan today

So I'm having a extra scan today at 18+4 due to bleeding on and off for a few weeks baby is moving around so I'm not too concerned but they want to see where the blood is coming from. On the phone the dr said they would not do all my test ect as if it was going to be my 20week scan? It was quite confusing and I probably should of asked there and then but was a brief conversation...do you think they can do all my 20 week scan bits today? And can they tell the sex if we ask today?

Yes they should be able to tell the gender today! I’m not sure if they’ll do the whole 20 week scan thing today for you (maybe if they don’t want you in and out too much due to Covid). For that I just had them look over baby with scanner and check everything ok. No other tests, but I declined anything invasive/bloods related. Hope it went ok today, I had a bit of bleeding too in early pg. Often it’s nothing to worry about x

It was a complete nightmare at the hospital abs found out I have a low lying placenta which needs to be reviewed down the line! But baby is healthy and is a little boy 💙💙
