No period after a miscarriage?!

Hi ladies just looking to see if anyone has experienced anything similar..
basically December the 11th I’ve miscarried as had a ‘pregnancy of unknown location’ I bled for 5 days and then stopped for 2 days and then again bled for 6 days after that so 11 days althogether. I was meant to be due around the 14th of January and that never showed up.. I’ve not had a period since the miscarriage and I’m now nearly due again in 2 weeks time.. has this happened to anyone else? I’ve never been this late before and have no feelings of a period coming, taken many pregnancy tests which all come back negative.. I know it can take 4-6 weeks for your body to come back to normal but would of thought it would of come by now as my period usually never is late and we also had a miscarriage back in September which I came of my period a day early..

Also another question is I should be in my fertile window by now.. can I still ovulate when I missed my period?? Or do I need a period in order to ovulate, Sorry if that sounds silly 😂😅

So biologically you need to ovulate to then trigger a period. Ovulation after a PofUL or MC can be delayed, which is probably what happened here. That will also vary woman to woman and for each MC or PofUL. I'm sorry for your experience and wishing you luck

Sorry for your mc. When I had a mmc it took a full 6 weeks for me to get a period.

Ah really?? It’s been 7 weeks since it happened so hopefully won’t be much longer till it makes an appearance!!

It took me 9 weeks after MMC surgery. Tends to be longer the more weeks pregnant you were (I was 12 wks). So likely much faster for you

I was only about 5 weeks really early still and it come away naturally luckily! So I would of thought it would return by now like it did last time, I’m just worried I won’t be able to ovulate if I don’t come on😬😬

Are you sure you're not pregnant OP? I had an MC and didn't have a period after as I got pregnant on my next cycle.

I took a first response this Tuesday which came back negative so I don’t think I am unless I ovulated a lot later than I thought 🤷🏼‍♀️😬

I'm sorry OP, it's so stressful when this happens :-( I had an experience similar to yours but with mine it took ages for my HCG levels to come back down (because it was diagnosed as a PUL they had to keep testing my blood) and it took 3 months for me to have a period again, even though I finally had a negative test after 7 weeks. I don't know if it'll be any help but thought I'd share an experience. My cycle was out of whack when it returned so if you're concerned perhaps test again in a week?

Oh I’m sorry it happened to you too, it’s so horrible when it happens! Luckily my pregnancy test was negative a week after I went for my scan but maybe the period part will be the same for me which is quite frustrating! Keep getting little niggles every so often but the period just doesn’t want to show itself haha! Never mind looks like it’s a waiting game!

It is a (stressful) waiting game but if you feel ready to try again keep DTD as you will ovulate before you have a period!
