Hi Ladies! AF has been and gone and FW starts tomorrow for me. We're looking after mother in law in our bubble so this is going to be a week of very quiet DTD Blush

RAA852021 · 19/02/2021 13:44

@TolkiensFallow - I'm hoping she takes some long morning walks for her daily exercise!! 🀣🀣

Clapham4 · 19/02/2021 15:23

@bubblegeek22 definitely a line!!! How are you feeling? Any symptoms? Xx

MgW1 · 19/02/2021 17:44

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking
Was your fertility appointment private? Iv seen Nuffield do a variety of tests. Im going to go down that route if no joy. I just dont feel hopeful and i dont know why, need a plan just in case xx

BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 19/02/2021 17:50

@MgW1 no mine was all through the doctor. They should be fine to refer you as you've been trying for more than 6 months and are over 35. Do you already have a dc? So sorry, I can't remember? If you do, NHS can cover all tests and investigations but wouldn't cover ivf or iui (is that the right abbreviation?!). Obviously if you've not had a kiddo yet yet would also be entitled to ivf on the NHS too. Worth it if you can get it as such crazy money otherwise πŸ’°
Have you had the bloods/scans/semen analysis already?xx

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking
No , no tests like that. I am just inpatient and i dont't want to take the place on a waiting list who someone my age with no children can have. It might be i have low progesterone levels , don't know of this can happen anyway as you get older. Seems easy to treat though with pregesterone and aspirin. Did you wait long for G.p to do all.the relevant tests ? Xx

TolkiensFallow · 19/02/2021 18:06

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking I know what you mean about the itch! I’m desperate to test but only 7DPO, I swear this thread is making me worse! Although I also love it!

I just can’t bring myself to spend the money for the disappointment... I do feel like I have preggo boobs though and I had zero early signs with bubs1!

MgW1 · 19/02/2021 18:30

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking
I maybe worrying about nothing . I need a distraction!! X

PeanuttyButter · 19/02/2021 20:55

This is so exciting to suddenly come back to, haven't checked this all day. Congratulations all with BFPs and squinters. Fingers crossed and extra good luck to those trying not to POAS.

BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 19/02/2021 21:24

@MgW1 I would definitely talk to the doc. They can order the 21day bloods to check progesterone really quickly - no lengthy wait time, and I got my results the next day. Sperm analysis was a 2-3months wait due to suspending the service in lockdown so you could always get referred for that and have it on the back burner. This is of course all if your current line doesn't stick but there's no reason to think it won't! Every pregnancy is new and has a fresh chance of succeeding! Sending positive vibes your way xxx

@TolkiensFallow our timings are so close! πŸ€— When are you going to test?xx

OP posts:
TolkiensFallow · 19/02/2021 21:53

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking I don’t know I keep telling myself that it’s an unnecessarily expensive habit to early test and just to wait until my period is due - then test. So that’s next Friday.

But then I’ve also literally just been on Amazon scoping out the early tests on prime...

Arghhhhhhh ... what are you doing??? When are you testing? And tell me about this theory your fertility expert has about dead sperm? Whose body are the sperm in when they’re dying?

BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 20/02/2021 05:57

@TolkiensFallow well I've just this morning caved and got a BFN! I was convinced I'd implanted 2 days ago but it's not even a squinter. I'm 9dpo I think, but there is a chance I'm actually only 8dpo so I'm not really any the wiser than I was before I tested! The pack has 2 tests in so I'll probably do one more on Tuesday. If that's still negative then I'm out as I've always had quite bold bfp by 10dpo when I've had them. Feeling a bit gutted! πŸ™„ I should have learnt by now that when my body displays symptoms, she's bloody lying! πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

As for dead sperm, she was saying we needed to have sex all month as sperm dies and so if you only have sex right before you ovulate, you might be getting dead sperm when the man ejaculates. .which makes sense but the sperm analysis said the man had to have ejaculated 2 days prior to the test and no more than 5 days so I think as long as hubby 'cleans the pipes' during my AF week and a couple of days before our fertile week, we're covering off the dead sperm bit anyway. Xx

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking haha! Pipe cleaning eh...thanks for explaining that πŸ˜‚

MgW1 · 20/02/2021 09:27

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking
How are you doing? Im doing no more testing now i will wait til next week. I have these cheap one step tests and honestly the reviews on amazon are shite! Waste of money so binned them!! X

BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 20/02/2021 09:32

@MgW1 in truth I'm a bit down today but I'm going to pull myself together now and be busy. Too much time alone just makes me depressed and all consumed by ttc!
How are you doing? I've just sent the one step ov tests back too. They are all rubbish! Even the control line was barely visible! I used the one step preg ones before Xmas and they were still only a squinter when the FRER was as bold as you can get! Complete rubbish. Will you do anymore FRER tests?x

OP posts:
MgW1 · 20/02/2021 09:41

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking
I have ordered some more but want to wait for a few days now unless Af shows up so might wait til Wednesday. Well you know my story , just cos last time you tested positive at 10 dpo doesnt mean it will happen so early again! Implantation commonly happens between 8 - 10 , anything before has increased chance of mc - done a lot of reading 🀣 are you going to test mon / tues? Xx

Clapham4 · 20/02/2021 10:07

All the talk of testing and my tests are arriving today πŸ˜…

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking sorry for the BFN, but still soooo early x

@TolkiensFallow have you decided when to test??x

@MgW1 how are you feeling?? x

I’m 10 or 11dpo today, but only have my usual
PMS symptoms so I already feel I’m out, gutted. But I’d like to test anyways and just get the disappointment over and done with rather than waiting until AF if that makes sense? Having a mental breakdown this weekend works much better for me than mid next week when I’m working πŸ˜‚

BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 20/02/2021 11:29

@MgW1 that's very true! I guess the only reliable negative is when AF shows up! Really hope she bloody doesn't though... πŸ˜’
Yes, I'm saying I'll wait until Tuesday to test again...knowing full well I'll probably test tomorrow or Monday! πŸ˜‚πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

@Clapham4 thanks for your message. And you're definitely not out yet! I've never had that many symptoms in early pregnancy, definitely not sore boobs or nausea or anything like that until more like 5/6weeks. Cramping and dizziness are my only tell tale symptoms and even those have tended to be very mild. I do know what you mean about testing though. I was talking to hubby this morning saying I wanted to just do a test each morning for the next couple of days because that is somehow less disappointing then waiting longer to test and allowing the anticipation and hope to build up. I don't bother with any tests other than FRER these days though and they are fairly pricey! Anyway, keeping fingers crossed for you xx

Thank you ladies.
@BubsNumber2inTheMaking just because last time you tested pos at 10DPO doesn't mean you will again, might be slightly later on this time!

@Clapham4 no symptoms really just lower back ache which I usually get before AF.

Well after my squinter yesterday, BFN on the same brand today!! Not even a smidge of a line.
Think I am out this month and maybe just had a very early chemical! Feeling rather sad but if it couldn't stick I would rather it happens now than much further down the line.

Best of luck to all testing in the next few days there seems to be a few around the same time!

MgW1 · 20/02/2021 16:20

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking
Well obviously i have tested again πŸ™ˆ

BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 20/02/2021 16:36

@bubblegeek22 thanks for your message. I hope you’re right! Sorry to hear you think you might have had a chemical 😞 SUCH an emotional rollercoaster. I feel the same though - if it’s right, it will stick. If it doesn’t then I’d rather that happens as early as poss! Sending strength πŸ’ͺ When is AF due? Has she reared her head yet?xx

@MgW1 and????? 🀞🀞🀞🀞xx
