Heavy bleeding, cramps and negative test

Hi All,

I know this sounds like the odds are very slim but here go's......
I am on the pill to help control my periods but got that 'pregnant' feeling on the 16th Jan, I stopped my pill because of this then had my withdrawal bleed on 21st that lasted 4 days.
Since then I have the typical pregnancy symptoms. My first (and only) pregnancy was only successful after two cycles ICSI IVF. Also unsure if the cramps are normal as I was quite tender last time due to injections and egg extraction.

I tested on Monday 25th (this is when my break should have been on the pill) BFN!
Should I be worried, my GP won't see me because of Covid and has prescribed IBS medication but I really feel its pregnancy.

Am I crazy????

I think it sounds very unlikely OP, sorry!

Hi, I'm sorry you are feeling like this. It really sounds like your hormones are all over the place due to stopping the pill. I'd say that a negative test, heavy bleeding and cramps are pretty indicative of you not being pregnancy. I'm sorry if that's not what you want to hear.

RiverBuddy · 29/01/2021 08:15

Thank you @meme69 I appreciate your imput, its just wla weird feeling. Wondering what it can be. I start my pill again Monday so will test before then to make sure.
Don't know why my body plays tricks on me xx

@Braxos I totally agree the odds are against me, my son was born Oct 2018 and we have been told we have a 5% chance of conceiving naturally. I just don't know what it is, hope it nothing to worry about 😢

Anyone else have this? If it wasn't pregnancy then what was it? Any input would be helpful 😊

Sorry op I don't quite understand why you think you're pregnant, other than a "pregnant feeling"? You're on the pill, stopped taking it, bled and had cramps, had a negative pregnancy test, literally nothing points to pregnancy and just suggests your body is doing what's normal when you have a break in the pill taking.

RiverBuddy · 29/01/2021 18:28

@Garman the only time i felt like this was when I was pregnant that's why. I have never had this feeling before or since until now. I'm asking for advice on if it could be other things and experience. I really don't want to be defending why I think, I was pointed in the direction of the mumsnet community for guidance and support not to be made to feel more crazy!

Just coming on this to give you all an update, coz I know some of you will be driving yourself crazy. I don't want to worry people but wanted you all to be aware, These symptoms turned out to be cancer, always listen to your body, I've had my treatment and now cancer free 😊 push your doctor if it isn't pregnancy.

Oh I'm sorry to hear that and glad you're well.. But what exactly were the symptoms? I don't think you said?

RiverBuddy · 05/09/2022 22:02

Hi, thank you 🥰 the symptoms are at the top in the beginning of the tread 😊. I felt pregnant like pulling and moving but was bleeding. I pushed my GP but had to wait for my PAP test before it showed up xx
